How do you keep things going while waiting to meet a far away fab friend?

It seems to have fizzled out after the initial excitement and messages, it's become a bit one sided and infrequent now. Damn you Covid

If it's right it just keeps itself going...

I think you've answered this one yourself. Sadly it's fizzled out and that's just one of those things x

I would agree here. And add that even in the initial stages it is all about pacing the messages. If you get that initial rush of excitement and you are virtually in each other's pockets then once that wears off so can the interest. To keep it going when you can't really plan for a meet in the current situation takes commitment from both sides.

The trick is not to bore the shit out of people. So cam with them make sure you have a unique talent and show it off.

There and to the left a bit

Thing is it has to be working for both of you and happen naturally, you can't force it - and when it does happen that way it just flows and seems "right"

As someone else said sometimes you do get that initial "flurry" that then fizzled and dies down - sometimes it can be revived and sometimes it dies off completely - there really is no rhyme or reason to it.

Thanks above, I've not abandoned hope just yet!

It would be a shame as we chatted loads on & off Fab.

I'm sure things will be better when meets are ok again.

You could just ask her straight if she is still interested. The worse bit is the not knowing and being unsure of where you stand.

Deeside

Do the elephant dance on cam for them and their interest will be reignited, that is a personal guarantee.

Delightful Bliss

With my special friends we keep checking in with each other and are honest about how we are feeling with each other although sporadically we trust in our relationships.

Sometimes after that has happened it becomes one sided then I let it naturally slide away sometimes connections can be rebuilt, mostly I move on.
