Under the Duvet

Dyed my hair today and far from being "Chocolate Brown" as per the box, I am now virtually jet black....with nails to match on one hand as I lost a glove ( doh!)

I guess I'm just going to have to embrace my unintentional move to the Dark Side and put some Sisters of Mercy on...

Any other closet Goths out there?

Used to be back in the day, dyed my Ian McCulloch style spiky dark hair with blue streaks (obviously before I turned blonde lol), wore only black clothes, listened to Bauhaus and sulked a lot!!

Hello there!

In all seriousness if you want to tone down the goth vibe head and shoulders original shampoo is basically a really good colour stripper.

5 min mask well lathered up will strip it down one shade, rinse and repeat until it's the desired colour xxx

What self respecting Goth tones it down in order to fit in? If people don't except you, fuck them your in the wrong place. Try a fetish club instead if it's full of townies and shit music.

The whole point of Goth was being who you are, irrespective of being ridiculed, insulted or even attacked (which used to be quite common in the 80s and 00's).

Unless your one of the ones who does the Goth thing once a year (like Whitby attracts these days) because they don't really have the bottle to do the Goth thing?

I know it's not just about the clothes it's a life style choice as well. Yes I am so lofty, I shit marble "

Haha, there was one local Goth hangout, the back room of a large licensed B&B. I'd head there at 11pm after the rock pub closed.

Were PIL gothic, or merely new wave? I sprayed my doc Martins metallic blue and made like Zodiac Mindwarp despite my Monsters of Rock tshirts lol

Goth Girl from San Francisco here. My favourite places are still graveyards - no body talks back and everyone stays where you put them. Used to paint spider webs on my face with black eyeliner just to piss off my mother. I don't think I wore coloured clothes until a few years ago. My one non-goth thing is no tattoos.

Whats hair to do with being a Goth or not? Just wearing black does not make you Goth, its more then that. According to the news, Eva Green is a Goth because she wears black in most of the films...
