No, not the police. When your head is full of fuzz but also feels like a stretched out piano wire what do you do to declutter?

Unplug. Re prioritise. Find the silence and touch base then start to unpick the fuzz.

I find that usually it's when I have too much going on and I'm spreading myself too thin with unresolved issues. Learning what needs your attention and what can wait really helps.

If you're holding too much in your head at once then exorcise it, talk, vent or write it down, that helps to clarify things

Hi

You could play a round of golf or borrow my De stress your life book in 7 days. Or my behind with the laundry living off chocolate book.

I find them great tools. Or go see what golf handle you are. Hole in one!

I find watching humour also clears out clutter.

If you play golf like I do, you'll end up being more frustrated at the end than you were at the start

I try and do practical things that I’ve been putting off , even if it’s something small then the actual act gives me something to concentrate other than the shit in my head and the fact I’ve actually achieved something makes me feel better, if that all makes sense ?!

.

Talk, completely honestly to someone who'll listen. Writing it down if you don't feel you can talk/don't want to talk to anyone can help a lot - sometimes voicing your thoughts can give clarity and you'll realise you're speaking your truth before you're aware of it. If something is on my mind, I speak it because I know otherwise it escalates and becomes a *Thing*.

Going for a waddle helps me as well, I get the endorphin rush and I'm less in my head. I hope your friend is kind to themselves and doesn't push too hard for solutions. Sometimes just being helps the decluttering begin
