Everyone here wants attention. Everyone is here for attention.

The sticking point is when people consider the attention that others are seeking is too flagrant or unseemly, that it's with too many people or indiscriminate.

Basically they're judging others on their own values and imposing their own feelings onto someone else's actions.

Frankly it's none of anyone else's business how others manage their experience unless it directly affects them. We're all here for the same reason, we just take different approaches. Let others do what makes them happy.

Nah. I definitely post on here for attention. We all find other things about different people irritating so if that includes how they seek attention - fair enough, no one is perfect and above judging others. What's not okay is insulting people/calling names because you think it's unsightly.

I think there's a degree of difference between "seeking attention" and "attention seeking" - we all, each and every one of us, do the former the moment we write a profile and add pics - the attention we are looking for may differ, but we're still looking for it.

The latter is more blatant and can take on many shapes and forms - from thinly veiled "look at me" threads, to status updates begging for Fabs, to reverse psychology "I'll just sit in the corner unnoticed" type forum posts - each to their own and if that's how people want to use the site it's up to them entirely, personally I find it a bit "transparent" at times and tend to roll my eyes and move on, but that's about the limit of how much it bothers me.

Via the forum I genuinely just want a gab, or to get as many people as possible chatting, as it can be hilarious sometimes. I don't really get into private chats or meet from here, so I don't need attention on me specifically, but I'll stick my neck out and post if I think it'll get a group chat going. I actually panic and retreat a bit if it gets too about me.

Locally, hell yeah! I want to draw out anyone with an interest in me to see who I like too, so I'll post pics and statuses when I want to kick-start a hunt for my next vict...friend.

My default is to have 'looking for' boxes unticked, so I'm partially out of sight, and just come back out of hiding whenever I'm ready for the next recruitment drive
