What is the difference between kink shaming and having an opinion that disagrees with a kink. Can you make that opinion public or tell the person you think their kink is wrong.

Big difference between saying "not for me" and saying "that's wrong".

That's where the shaming comes in.

So the shaming doesn't have to be public.

Having an opinion is: I'm not personally into this kink and explaining why you're not interested.

Kink shaming is: This kink is totally sick and wrong and there's clearly something wrong with people who are into it.

It is fine to not like the idea of a kink and to be squicked by it. It's kind of shitty to shame people who do though.
