That's a tricky one, because WHAT do we REALLY need....?

The single biggest change we can make right now to save the planet, and stop the decline, would be to switch all humans to a vegan, plant based diet.

Only use natural, renewable energy, and learn to be more economical with the power we have. Switch everything to low-voltage, and if your not using it, switch it off!

Stop single use plastic production, which cannot be recycled.

Manufacturers should make things to last rather break after the warranty is up. (I remember my dad repairing the telly and washing machine when I was younger and that was the done thing)

Renewable energy should be used as much as possible.

Stop fracking everywhere, and use biogas from human waste as an alternative.

Everything is motivated by the paper nowadays.

A man made object that allows people to live in the society we have.

It’s silly when you think of it like that.

On a serious note covid has taught us some of us can work from home. Cottage industries in the past were the norm. Think this would ease car use if those who can work from home should do so.

Old one and not going to be popular.

Reduce human population and it's toll on earth by allowing 1 child per couple like China.

Half the world population half of the problem. Once you have half of the problem a couple generations on you get quarter of the problem and so on until the right balance is achieved.

At the current rate all "ideas" and "concepts" have a flaw.

All food has got to grow somewhere and get to you somehow.

Clean water has to come from somewhere and be cleaned somehow.

All energy has got to be produced some how and even wind, solar, batteries and alike need to take materials from the earth and create pollution.

It's a bitter pill to swallow but there is too meny people, consuming too much resources for the planet to sustain.

It might you feel better to eat vegan food that was growing where some rainforest once was and flew half of the world to get to your plate or drive your electric car that took lots of energy and strip mining to make the batteries, metals and electronics that runs on electricity that had to come from fossil fuels or nuclear power and we are not quite sure how to recycle it when you want a new shiny one.

Modern generation have it wrong

Milk from local cows came in re washed glass bottles on an electric vehicle 10-20 to your door in the morning , local meat came wrapped in paper not plastic, you repaired things because you could and it was cost effective. It's profit and consumerism that changed things.

Google that on this year's iPhone because last year's it to old and dated in you're disposal fashion that came from a sweatshop full of children half way on the other side of the world
