Rugby Build

Can anyone shed some light on the definition of rugby build on here please....they come in all shapes and sizes on the pitch and unfortunately I can never tell which build a person likes

Could be anything from Adam Jones to Foxy.

I usually take it as meaning muscular legs, strong shoulders.

I think they mean big lads lol I’m a prop so have the ‘rugby build’ of a forward. Can’t see them meaning a winger as you may as well say footballer build

I take it to mean 'broad and looks strong'. More emphasis on big shoulders, arms, legs than abs

I'm tall and broad and quite...powerfully built. if that makes sense?

I wouldn't say I'm athletic or lean.

But I wouldn't go as far as to say I'm fat either.

I lay somewhere in between.

I've never been a footballer build, 99% of my time spent on the wings in my day.

I’m of the same mould mate lol....there’s just a lot of ambiguity with it in my eyes....but thank you all for clearing it up

Rugby Build (player)

Forward size..Thighs..chest arms..neck..arms..back..shoulders..

Not athletic as football..rugby has the “Big” straight to mind

Having played for years, when someone say "rugby player type"

I assume someone who lives on a staple diet of ibuprofen and complains about the pain from Sunday to Wednesday

I was a back, so I'm sure I'm not the correct build

M asked me what her "type" was, I instantly said number 7. Rugby player build is quite ambiguous but I guess generally means broad and strong. A flanker is her ideal. I played on the wing and later full-back

Flanker seems to be the ideal build for a rugby player....it’s very rare the front row get much live from the drooling women....I mean....who says Samson Lee is a dream boat

Ex rugby player.

Played no 7 flanker most of my younger years .retired few years ago
