What's In A User Name?

Do user names bother you? Does it colour how you see the person behind the name, based on their name choice?

Does it matter at all? A bit? A lot?

It would only bother me if it was something deliberately offensive or otherwise gave indications that we wouldn’t be compatible.

The highly sexual usernames that would put us off people are usually used by people we aren't interested in meeting anyway and we're probably not their type either.

They could make a difference but normally there are other reasons that would make somebody a no anyway.

honestly the user name is something i tend to check as an afterthought, the only time it really registers is if it's a statement about what they are looking for ie bbc, or if it makes me chuckle.

Much like only looking the profile pic i prefer to dig a bit deeper.

Still some very inventive names about!

Vulgar, crass or rude usernames put us off..as do disrespectful usernames.

The username and profile is how you chose to present yourself to everybody else. It's a good sign or what the person / people are like.
