Do people have more than one, like a side on the side?

What happens if the side becomes the main? Do you get a new side?

I'm not judging. I just wondered why people do it. Is it to fix something that's missing elsewhere?

As good as it is, I don’t think coleslaw would ever become the main. It’s too good as a side.
