Like feet (especially feet).

How come when shoes are on, the stink of smelly feet isn't apparent yet when you take them off it's vile?

Where does all the smell go with shoes on?

When the shoe is on, the smell from the feet has no path to get out. It's all held in the shoe for that fragrant release later.

I don't know how flexible you are, but I couldn't get my feet anywhere near my nose whether my shoes are on or not! The smell dissipates before it travels that far
