We are near Oswestry this weekend, anybody know any local pubs where we may meet others who like to play?

No idea but oswestry is a really nice place, if the ironworks is open nearby i suggest a trip, may find some good photo opportunities while you're at it.

Welcome to my part of the world!

Nothing like that in Oswestry I am afraid.

Like above the Ironworks are well worth a visit, and maybe a trek across the border to visit the Aquaduct.

As for places to eat can recommend Lepones.

Why on eath not? My sister in law ran it for a while, was a great little pub. She always had live music in the courtyard, I'd work behind the bar some nights, loved it, even if I just went for a night out I'd end up pulling pints

Yup! I stole a Policemans hat from Red Square once while waiting for my hot dog

He did get it back but I made him kiss me first cringe

I can’t help but think we were lucky growing up in them times before social media and smart phones. Meeting up for a drink is where we were all social.

Sadly lots of pubs have closed down. If I remember right it used to have the record for the most pubs in a square mile? The list is on the wall in The Oak ( great pub)

Bikeworkz? He’s good there. The new one that replaced Stuart Barkleys is nice but you need to re mortgage your house to buy the stuff there. Nice coffee though.
