My phone hardly goes off till I try to nap, then the world and its dog wants me, so I reply and then silcence again but its too late.

Nap ruined!

The dogs in this house cause me the same problem!

I was up at 03:00 to start work at 04:30. Got back a little while ago and felt a bit tired so went for a nap. The dogs have been quiet all day, sleeping, not doing much at all....

Then as soon as my head hits the pillow they go bonkers!

And they don’t just go nuts constantly. They make a racket, then quiet down for just long enough for you to think you can dose off again....and then go nuts again in another short burst!

So I feel your pain!

Same principle when you’re waiting for a delivery, get in the shower and you’re guaranteed they’ve been and gone,

Probably the same reason why I am wide awake 2 hours before I need to rise for work, but start to doze 10 minutes before I have to get up and feel tired as fook.

I was awake till 3ish am, then up at 8am.

Decide at 12 to nap a little and I got 5 messages from 3 different people at spread out times

Can't you selectively choose who to allow through if you put your phone on 'Do Not Disturb'.

I'm still on Android 6 and my do not disturb settings can allow calls/messages from starred contacts. And you can allow or disallow Reminders and Events.

iPhone has a similar feature with similar options.
