Lingerie Problems - am I right ladies!?

I just saw an advert for a beautiful set advertised by a brand that sells bigger cup sizes. I went to have a look and their smallest band size was a 36 and I'm a 30 . Too busty to buy on the high street but my band size is too small to buy from plus size brands. Story of my life! I have a friend with the opposite problem as she's a big band size but a C cup. Sad times. I just want to buy the pretty lingerie! At least it saves my bank balance I guess.

Seems like you and your friend could solve all your problems if you cut the bands off and swap with eachother

North East Scotland, mostly

Yes! I subscribe to the "boob or bust" measurements, which generally mean smaller band, bigger cup. Pain in the arse

I struggle with lingerie that don't make my b-cup boobies look like I have the chest of a child I love leather but normally it can be tight fitting so my boobies just dissappear

There are quite a few places online that you can get the small back big up lingerie from! It can be costly but they are out there! I struggle too being a 28/30 back.

I think I've cracked it for me finally. I've been buying every underboob body and slip I can find, and team with a matching bra that actually fits. All in one lingerie is fine if I'm not leaving the house but it's never a good enough fit to wear out under clothes.

I cant wear undewired bras as I had a mastectomy and reconstruction. I was told I can only wear a wired bra for like a special occassion etc for a few hrs.

So its hard to find sexy non-wired bras. And dont get me started on the post mastectomy bras! Yuck...

You have my sympathy. I had a similar but different problem with latex clothing squashing my boobs into a big uniboob. It's half the reason I started making my own.

A thread combining two of my favourite triggers "women" and "lingerie"...

As an enthusiastic supporter of ladies and lingerie, is the solution here a strap extender? I'm guessing the real solution is for companies to make the sizes ladies actually are rather than projecting some stylised size on the world.

I have to get a 28 in some brands so I totally sympathise with you on what a nightmare it is! Going without isn't really an option for me. I'd be a risk to myself and others .

Can I get in on this loan? Boobs are in proportion I struggle with hip to waist ration - every damn thing too big round the waist! I want structured corsets with a longer hip line but it’s damn near impossible to get them tight enough at the waist! I want a bespoke lingerie wardrobe made for me .... is that even possible?

I know it exists, it's just so sad having such a limited window to choose from, especially with so many wonderful new brandw popping up selling bigger cups but only starting at like a 32 or 34 underband. It's sad to keep getting your hopes up and being like "nope, still can't have the pretty things!"

Yeah this is why I have so much stuff I can wear a separate bra with. Layering is where its at when you're a difficult size! I could never buy one of those cupped body things as if they had a 30 underband they would think I was like a size 6 and I would never get my butt in it .

Curvy Kate I have some of but find them very uncomfortable like the straps are too far apart.

Playful Promises is one of the brands I love but they very rarely have my size.

I'd not looked at Bluebella or Edge o' Beyond before so I just had a Google. Bluebella had two awful sale items and Edge o' Beyond didn't do my size (if I coukd have afforded those prices anyway ). Thanks for the suggestions though. Seems I'm just destined to admire most pretty lingerie only from afar.

It's so annoying being a difficult size isn't it. Most things available look like nursing bras from the 1950s.

Strap extender? I need the band smaller, not bigger.

In a ball gown because that's how we roll in N. Devon

The thing I find frustrating is that so often places advertise "plus sizes" and "bigger cups". Usually means they do 34-38 in up to a G cup and anything outside of that in a D or E. Not great for a 40GG!

However, some of the suggestions made already in this thread do some lovely stuff in a much bigger range of sizes, just have to catch them at the right time so you can get things in the sale really....

And corsets for big cup sizes are a nightmare! I'm going down the custom route myself now.... Or underbust and bra works

I don't even mind not waiting for sales. I'd pay up to about £90 for a good bra, just lots of places don't make my size in the first place and if they do it tends to be in the ugliest or plainest styles. Sad face!

Ugliest and plainest is the curse of the "outsizers" both small and large.
