Why do people just send a friend requeat?

This has been bugging me for quite a while,

in my mind, you like the look of person, wink or message. Chat a bit see how it goes, then add as friend.

Don't jump in with friendship!

So send them a message. No response... Ever!

Gr!

Some people who do this are picture collectors.

I ALWAYS refuse unexpected friend requests.

What about when someone winks you and you wink them, then you become freinds but then they never chat or mail you?

whats that all about then?.

Even though we actually say on our profile that we don't like friends invites out of the blue without so much as a message we still get them (had one this morning in fact). We used to reply that we don't accept these until after a meet, but now, as the person so clearly hasn't read our profile we just ignore them completely

the block button is also good, we delete the request then block the person

They change their mind about you after chatting with you?

Just a thought....

No idea why they do it or at least the repeaters anyway but I blocked one couple after about the 8th request. Just to clarify, normally those who random friendship request that get deleted, don't come back but this couple were persistently doing it several times every weekend for about a month, on the last occasion I checked their status; had they read mine they would have noticed that I wasn't free unlike them so I blocked them. I have also blocked a single male that kept doing it on a weekly basis too.

Every couple of months, I go through my friendship list and delete those I haven't chatted to since it was accepted, or I am not really interested in meeting and those that have not logged on for several months.

Then I go and make a nice cup of tea and wander off onto the forums without giving them another thought

I would check out unsolicited winks and friends invite, and if I have no intention of getting to know the sender, then I would block them.

Easy, no sweat, and I certainly won't let them wind me up.

Is it really that big an issue?

Just hit 'delete all friend requests' and they are gone ....simple

Possibly because they are pic collectors, lazy or just plain stupid! I think it's the height of rudeness. At least mail and if you get on then send a friend request. Perhaps they think they get a prize for having the most friends. Weird.

Can I send you all friend requests? It will save actually having to get to know you all?

Everyone uses the site differently. I send friend requests occasionally if I am really short of time at that moment or if I like the sound of someone and want to see their private pics before starting any contact. If there is no attraction then noone has wasted any time, had their hopes raised (much anyway)or lost anything.

Don't get offended by folks contacting me in a way that suits them

There's nothing like setting your pictures to private to bring the friend requests in.

It's annoying because it's plainly written on our profile that we will not accept them - but they send them anyway.

If they can't abide by your wishes on a profile how could you be expected to trust them on a meeting for sex basis?

Doubt they'd respect your boundaries in the slightest.

I find they are often under my age restriction so they think its a way of getting round that...it doesn't work!

I rarely delete mine. If you delete they can send another, if you leave it they have to wait a month...

Because they can!

We only check friends requests if we are expecting to receive one from someone we have been chatting with.

Rest of the time we just do a mass delete once a week. Problem solved

This does annoy us too! Friend requests without so much a hello! We delete ours but after reading an above post night leave them for a bit, as didn't realise they could send another one straight away!

We don't tend to keep people on friends list unless they are. Prefer using pm of private pic(s). A complete stranger having access that may not result in a meet isn't how we roll.

I'll have a nosey at the profile if I have time before I hit delete. If they have no pics and I don't know them it's an instant delete. If they do have private pics I'll often play them at their own game...accept the invite, look at the pic, and then delete them if I don't like what I see! x
