Generally not brave enough to go heavy on both

If i go bright lip i keep eye make up simple..

If i go heavy eye i keep the lip simple

Going to upload 2 pics and do a simple experiment, see which gets most fabs

What do you guys tend to do? Do you have any make up 'rules' you stick by?

I like to pay more attention to my eyes and keep my lips more nude tones.

I tend to so the same. Not keen on lots of eye makeup up and bright lips. I usually wear red lipstick so just a bit of liner and mascara on the eyes x

Heavy on both (or more than one of three) can be too much on many faces.

I usually do eyes, although sometimes do lips (and can carry off both to a point). My cheeks are always fairly minimal.

If I’m going out out I’ll do a bit more eye make up than usual as I rarely wear it during the day except for maybe some mascara. I do like a bold lip though

As for cheeks, I like my highlighter so shiny I look like a glazed doughnut

Home, mirror, makeup remover, do it until it looks nice to you on your face.

I love both but I prefer your lips done and your eyes more subtle for what it's worth.

I can't get away with both, I feel like I'm in drag but when I go to an MUA I get my eyes done well and have a subtle lip. I need to have fillers, my lips are too narrow for a bold lip colour.

I honestly don't use much of either. But I tend to use more on my eyes with just a bit of lip butter on my lips.

Depends on the occasion or my mood.

I love both your photos but think I prefer the one with bold lips. Possibly because you have amazing eyes anyway the heavier make up detracts from them

I prefer the lip photo, but only because I think the black with the eyes is too harsh on your skin tone? I think you'd kill it with something like a grey or a brown.

I personally consider eyeshadow more compulsory than mascara (for me and my face, not anyone else). But I usually don't go much beyond the lid when I'm wearing a bold lip colour unless it's a night out.

In my opinion you look better, sexier with heavier eye make up.

In daily life I don't have preferences.

Cute face doesn't need any extra highlights.

Oh no, I mean the eyeshadow, sorry. You've lined your eyes with black, which is a lot against your pale skin. I think going a little bit lighter, grey, brown, navy, dark mauve - would have a similar smokey effect but suit your skintone better

In your case you have beautiful eyes anyway so don't need massively extenuating, so by going heavy on your lips it compliments both x

You're doing really well!

Experiment. It's a heck of a learning curve and what suits you/ what you like isn't necessarily what's popular.

I don't wear anything but lip salve and black mascara.

I'm so lake and light I look like a ghost if I dont do something with my eyes..

But yes usually going out it's dark eyes light lips x

I am usually a mascara and lip balm kinda girl... I don't like lippy as it makes my teeth look horrible, so if anything, I might wear eyeshadow, occasionally... I can't be arsed with it most of the time and I feel like I look like a man in drag sometimes too

My go-to when I’m making an effort it is black winged eyeliner, a nude pallet eyeshadow and red lipstick (like in my photos)

If I’m just going around day-to-day then it’s mascara, eyebrows and nude lipstick.

Personally I believe you should do the look that feels good for you! There are no real rules outside of what makes you happy! X
