so iv noticed there doesn't seem to be as many, in fact very few trans men compared to trans women.

I Don't mean on here but in general.

So I'm genuinely interested to hear why people think this may be.

I'm not asking this to be offensive or rude or for any negatively.

I think transgender theres probably equal in the "real world" but you get drag queens and cross dresses and transvestites too which I think is mainly to do with womens clothing being sexier, and women have the bigger sex appeal than men

This is my thinking too.

I guess also there isn't really a "sigma" with women wearing mens clothing.

If I walked down the street in a man's shirt and jeans hardly anyone would even notice.

Its partly to do with biology too as its more likely that you will find a female brain trapped inside a male body, i can't explain the ins and outs of it as its way beyond me but we do all start out as female and the brain is far harder to change then the rest of the body hence why its easier to change the anatomy than it is the brain.

Also the reason it may be more prominent ceetainly from a visual side is that it is more fetishised towards male to female than it is female to male.

Many of those who like trans tend to be males who also like penis than it will be for women who like men with a vagina.

Plus as Ivy says, drag queens and crossdressers stand out as its not regarded as the norm as men cannot dress day to day in womens clothes in the same way that women can in mens. You sure don't get girl shorts/blouses/jeans for men in the same way you do boy shorts/shirts/jeans etc.

Alot of what you said was along the lines of what I was thinking too.

I've noticed a few trans men (FtM) on tv lately. There used to be 2 or 3 in the forums too.

Perhaps they aren't as 'noticeable' as MtF trans people.
