Humberside Police used to use the 850 T5R Estate for their traffic cars because of speed & load capacity, Chatting to a traffic cop he told me they were 'technically' a T6R as they were upgraded with a Garrett T6 turbo to compensate for all the gear they had to carry

Never been much of a fan of “super cars”

Always preferred tuned cars that have been built, usually Japanese cars.

1000bhp Subaru’s that can easily 1/4 mile well below 10 seconds

Turbo converted civics running 700bhp

Even the humble 1.3 Glanza can be tuned to 300bhp

If I had to choose...probably the new 911 turbo S.....that thing is a monster.

Lifes departure lounge NN9 Northamptonshire East not West MidlandsMidlands

My love of sports cars started in 1959 with a Triumph TR2 and ended in 2019 with a Mazda MX5,

In between:

2 x Morgans

1 Austin Healey "Frog eye" Sprite

2 MG Midgets

1 Triumph TR5

1 Triumph TR6

1 Jaguar "E" type

1 Lancia Beta Coupe

In all fairness the in between period was around 50 Plus years.

Still have a craving for the poor mans Aston, The DB7 but getting a bit late in life for that to happen, that said my Brother in Law is 86 and still drives a Porsche 911.

The V8 sounds so much better. To be perfectly honest though the sound when it started up was the best thing about it. People the other side of the car park would turn round when u started if. It’s a decent car but there’s far better, it’s not a patch on a 911 IMO having owned both

Not for me. I love the feeling it gives me when I leave home in the morning and climb into a gorgeous looking sports car. Modern Ferrari’s, porsche, McLaren etc etc ARE real world cars. Every day drivers. I’m not one for leaving it in the garage and taking out on rare occasions. If you buy one, drive it every day and enjoy it for what it is
