how good does it feel to clear things out!! of all things physical and emotional.

i am being very ruthless this weekend and not holding on to things that no longer bring me joy (thanks Marie Kondo!), that weigh me down and hold me back.

literally already feel so much better!

when did you last have a good clear out (and before anyone says anything gross - i dont mean bowels!!)

Marie Kondo is amazing! I'm currently in the process of decluttering the kitchen, I'm hoping within the next week it's clutter free and all perfectly organised. It does feel like a weight off your shoulders once done.

My wardrobe! I’m usually pretty good at keeping on top of it but at the moment it’s silly.

My friends and I do a clothes swap. We bring all the clothes we no longer wear, and swap them around so it’s like getting new clothes but for free

At the moment I have a huuuuge sewing pile of things I need to repair do I can either wear again or trade

I did up my bedroom about 6 weeks ago. Threw out a whole skip load of stuff which felt great. Got some new furniture and a new bed. It feels so good now.

Definitely felt better for it

I finally cleared my ex out this weekend! We've been living together as friends for a while but she started packing and looking for her own place in February, then Covid hit. My house has been full of boxes for months so it's great to see the floor again! Washing the carpets this afternoon now I can see them! Feels empty now and minimalistic, I didn't realise what a hoarder she is

My conservatory had a massive cull about 2 weeks ago which is a good job because it's been knocked down. My kids were upset that I'd got rid of childhood games connect 4 etc! I swear they are the next generation hoarders

We have been having a "clear out" for nearly two years, we have a lockup that was full to the brim, an attic that you can't move in, and now our new shed

I'm the more ruthless one, but it's going slowly at times. Got the lockup half emptied over past few months

I did 5 trailer loads of garden stuff around few weeks ago. Old rotten decking we pulled up during lockdown.

Next week is the garage. 6 old guinea pig hutches. Along with other junk that just finds its way in there.

I'm one of those people who if there room in the wheelie bin night begore collection. I go round the house finding stuff to go.

I'm an anti horder.

When I redecorated my bedroom a couple of months ago. That felt pretty good.

There was stuff in bags stuffed in the wardrobe that I'd forgotten about and had no reason to hang onto.

I'm pretty much clearing everything that has links to other people and memories that go with it.

Mr is the purger in our house, possession wise and emails, messages etc. It winds him up to have any of the little notification tabs telling him he has any unread emails and he deletes text messages frequently. The only old text he has kept is from a friend of his who past away a couple of years ago.

Myself on the other hand; 1987 emails, 36 WhatsApp messages, 9 letters all unread

Can you come live with me for 3 months please. The amount of stuff I've got in a 1 bedroom flat is ridiculous!

Even my 9 year old niece turned round and said I should just move somewhere bigger because I've got too much stuff and it's always messy!

I like a bit of a clear out and a reorg, every two months or so.. I'll focus on one cupboard/area at a time.

One general rule for certain things: if it hasn't been used for 5yrs, it'll never be used, so bin it.
