I'm sorting through some stuff from the cupboard of doom and as always I got distracted because u hate sorting through crap. Seriously, you might see me in that hoarders programme soon.

Anyway, what distracted me was not crap but keepsakes, cards and pictures. Spent a wonderful couple of hours sorting through photo albums and reading old letters and cards from loved ones. I cried a few time.

Are you sentimental? What sort of thing do you hold on to?

I am the same as you. I keep cards and letters, and have pictures that our children made us when they were little.

Lots of photos too and different things that out children made in nursery. We have memory boxes full, that we will keep forever.

Im not sentimental at all...I ve no pics of past lives or tokens..I guess the only things I keep close are my sleeping bag, mini stove and working blades...just in case. They re all I need as they enable me to live whatever happens. Our house is ordained with all my gfs stuff, what little I have are packed in my rucksack

I am with cards off my boys and gifts from them, I have some of their first teeth (playing tooth fairy), plus lots of photos, we have a very old tin box with photos in that belonged to my great aunts, there are pics dating back to the early 1900’s and other family treasures from that time

I do have a quite a few keepsakes connected to my partner, train tickets, cinema tickets, cuddly toys he brought for me etc, they mean a great deal as he is no longer here

East Sussex

I keep a notebook of each holiday we go on with a record of what we did and ticket stubs etc in it, I have things that belonged to my grandparents and aunt that are in daily use and things our kids made when they were small. Cards that Mr N has given me and things the kids have given me over the years. Along with hundreds of photos.

I'm not at hoarder stage yet...

I have bugger all apart from cards from my son and a photo album from my ice hockey days.

When I sorted through my bedroom I threw away a bag full of stuff from the ex I was with 11 years. I didn't even realise I had it still, was all shoved in a bag at the back of my wardrobe.

I was gonna burn all the cards and whatnot from B the other day. He wanted me to keep everything as a reminder that someone loved me. I don't think that's healthy for me as actually, they're a reminder I got played.

I am a sentimental hoarder - i have boxes of memories in the cupboard. I really need to sort through it all and thin it down to a few boxes.

"A ladies bra after we’ve been fruity "

This is exactly what I thought this thread would be about. Just shows how much of a perv I've become

I am sentimental and self various things over the years. Like a print of a tattoo design my best friend at the time got for himself and I accompanied him. Dried flowers from someone who mattered. A love memory box for someone special.. with things like tickets from attractions we visited or a packet of sweets we ate together and had a laugh about its name. Even my pregnancy tests

I also have all of there photos from when they was younger.

I was also asked by my son if I had any photos of his dad as his mum dosnt have any.

This I provided to him as she had lost every photo over the years.

sentimental yes I am have some good memories as I dont dwell on the bad ones.

And I couldnt resist the showing the boyfriend or girlfriend the pics of when they was younger.
