Has anyone had any professional boudoir pics done?

How was the experience?

Was it as life affirming as it seems?

I know someone who has very recently had some boudoir pics taken and they are beautiful, tasteful and sexy. She felt safe, trusting and incredibly sexy throughout the session.

I would love to have some taken one day

Taking photos has helped my body confidence loads. What I've done is look up boudoir photography on line, got myself a tripod and tried doing some myself. I know it's not quite the same but maybe somewhere to start

had some done quiet a few years ago and was disappointed.

Booked another shoot at the beginning of March for April but not happened yet.

This time I know the picture I would like to see but will take their opinion as well.

Undies for the shoot are waiting to be worn

I give it exactly 17 minutes before some guy with two blurry photos of his knob in a mirror offers to take some for you to practice his 'budding photography skills'

I did a shoot last year... loved it! Female photographer, plenty of time, ideas, etc. 21st Nov is an example.

Was it life affirming? Yes, not least in the laughs that ensued.

Most of mine I do myself because I can get embarrassed otherwise. I kid you not I have a Pinterest folder with picture ideas. And when I'm having a good day confidence wise I'll have a go doing my own version

Glad there's a thread on here, I posted one earlier about getting Mrs E a boudoir shoot for her 40th. I've found a couple of places round Lancashire that do them, and whilst they seem very well rated etc they also seem quite pricey. Hopefully I'll find somewhere that can take the standard of photos we want but without costing the earth!!

I did this a few years ago after having my children. Didn't tell hubby I was doing it. Then got the photographer to put together my favourites in a large frame to surprise Mr with at Christmas. It was fantastic and the pics hang over our bed. I look at them and it seems its not even me sometimes. Well worth doing

Well being a photographer who has done boudoir sets.

Its all about being made to feel special and showing you have a great figure no matter the size.

It can be a great confidence boost especially seeing the results and it should be all about you x

I had one done, won a prize for it.

I loved the photos. I'd love to have another done now I'm much more confident in my body.

I did find that they were incredibly expensive to get images (one was included) and there was a lot of sales pressure I found unpleasant.

Well i dont get the price plans of some , im personally not too expensive as i do it more for the enjoyment of others and the feeling when someone confidence increases more than makes up for money !

I won a boudoir shoot and haven't done it yet. I decided to get creative myself as a 'dry run', and now we do this together.

With a bit of staging it's easy to create a scene and take pics on your phone, using a timer or voice activation, then enhance lighting and use the crop tool to make best use of the frame. Dress up, experiment and have fun.

You'll get more out of the boudoir shoot if you're relaxed in front of the camera and have some sense of what you want from the session.

Enjoy

West Wales and Cardiff

In normal times, the Townhouse Club on The Wirral do a photography event. That might be a good way of dipping toes in and seeing how you feel about it.

I think it may be possible to contact photographers beforehand and chat about the event - I could be wrong though.

I went to it once, simply because I like doing photography as a hobby, and I thought “why not, only live once” and other cliches!

It was a good day - great to fun to meet and test photographic skills in a different setting.

"I won a boudoir shoot and haven't done it yet"

Before you do it, make sure you fully understand what you've actually won. The "you've won a photoshoot" is often used as a lure to sucker in unsuspecting customers who, before leaving with their single 5x7 print, will have been subjected to a very high pressure sales experience with prices so high they come with payment plans.

There are lots of rogues in the photography world, sadly.

We exist! Anything I do commercially is priced before hand so the client knows what to expect, what they get for the money, and what licensing restrictions come with the images.

All packages are bespoke to the client, and I don't just mean boudoir work.

I did one a while ago and loved it, highly recommend it and I plan to do one again.

As for price you pay for quality, its a once in a lifetime thing for people don't scrimp on money. There is one of my pics and eveytine I look at it, I go wow is that me.

Remember when you paying your paying for their time their expertise. I had my own beauty business a few years ago and was told by numerous mentors do not undersell your work.

"... was told by numerous mentors do not undersell your work."

This is true! If it's free, it's of no value! A lot of people undermine the profession by undervaluing their work, and a lot of people try to get work done free for "exposure". Plus, you get a lot of wannabes trying their hand who place no value on their work, and utlimitly destroy the market.

Yes, I have to write down / off the cost of equipment. I've got to rent studio space. I've got a host of other costs and expenses associated with the business side of it... not to mention the value of thirty plus years of experience, and that's got to come back somewhere.

The photography industry is in a perilous state at the moment. Computational photography and smartphones have, by and large, given the public the idea that its just a button press. To be fair, for a lot of peoples photographic needs, a recent high-end smartphone has gone well beyond sufficient a long long time ago. More people are willing to have a go, and use apps afterwards. The whole industry has been deskilled, and as the skill has fallen, so has the value.

Ppa had some done a couple of years ago by the wonderful (but expensive) "Mighty Aphrodite". A few of them are on our profile - low key with black background.

Really couldn't recommend either them as a team or the experience more.

They can be really nice and tasteful. A client had some done and they were large black and white prints on her bedroom walls. As I had a legitimate reason to be in her bedroom and she hadn't mentioned them, I did!

At the other end of the scale my daughter had some done and thought it would be a good idea to show me. Errr...lovely dear...

"I won a boudoir shoot and haven't done it yet

Before you do it, make sure you fully understand what you've actually won. The "you've won a photoshoot" is often used as a lure to sucker in unsuspecting customers who, before leaving with their single 5x7 print, will have been subjected to a very high pressure sales experience with prices so high they come with payment plans.

There are lots of rogues in the photography world, sadly.

Yes. That's what I won.

It was still worth it... And no, I didn't buy anything."

I just wanted to go for the experience, and some photo ideas. I'd love an erotic art piece to go above my bed, whether I'd go with one of their prints or not depends on the price and available funds.

"At the other end of the scale my daughter had some done and thought it would be a good idea to show me. Errr...lovely dear... "

I've had the pleasure and privilege to photograph some of the most stunning women you could hope to see, but as a father the most beautiful female I will ever photograph is my daughter, just because.

...and probably the only female in the world I wouldn't want to photograph in any kind of sexualised manner, be it suggest, implied, boudoir or more. Just no!

I feel your pain looking at your daughters photos.

Having found a very professional and skilled masseur that that will supply a happy ending, it would be nice to find a professional photographer that also likes a hands on approach to his work to photograph June.

Caroline has had several - all good fun (some of our pics are from such shoots) - occasionally it went a bit further too...

Accompanied Mrs Glove to a shoot, she looked stunning after her hair and make up was done, felt confident and enjoyed the experience. She was happy enough to ask for some poses that she wanted including naked shots in spite of her limited body confidence at the time.

Sure that it helped her level of horniness as we went on to a swingers club and fucked like rabbits afterwards.

I guess a lot depends on the photographer, ours was brilliant with a background in porn and we have been sorely tempted to go back for a more hardcore shoot including some video

I know someone who won a shoot, she's so happy we've seen the photos on her Instagram and she looks stunning!

I'm happy to take your photos when it's safe to do so. I promise to bring my instamatic and read the manual beforehand. I can even flash.

I don't think she was asking for a grubby trenchcoat mate

"Has anyone had any professional boudoir pics done?

How was the experience?

Was it as life affirming as it seems?

I've had them done a couple of times I love it
