Turn up late. Set the expectations low so it can only up.

Offer to make tea, but make it really badly so they know you have no problem offering but theyll never want you to do it again so you’re off the hook.

Best of luck, everyone was new at some point so if you mess up, don’t worry about it. People are a lot more understanding than we give them credit for.

And obviously, please don’t take these suggestions seriously
