5 go back to car to get phone .

6 .Miss the ferry .

7 get next ferry

8. No busses at fishbourne Ferry Port

9. Mile walk to the nearest bus stop

10. 3 full busses go sailing by

11. wait about an hour for a bus with spaces on

12 Arrive at the Festival Site

13 Put on Wellies (newly Purchased)

14 Wade through mud to get into festival .

15 Wade through more mud to try to find the Main Stage .

16 Pit Stop at first beer tent and a welcome seat .

17 Decide that is impossible to wade through any more mud in daylight ,and ponder what on earth it will be like when its pitch black at 11 o clock at night ,

18 Decide to go home

19 Go home ( cost another 11.80 as the return ticket was not transferable)

20 Get Home ,listen to the festival on the Radio.

21 Write to John Giddings to ask for my money back. They should never have opened the gates

So sorry to hear of your bad luck, been listening to the updates on 6music all day and it sounds like a nightmare! They shouldn't have moved it to the Glastonbury weekend :-/

Try again! ATP at Butlins is a safe bet

Torbay

As someone who lives on the Island, you are lucky you didn't come on Thursday; the whole place was gridlocked. This was always going to happen as the festival site is entirely in the wrong place and a small hiccough (cars unable to get on to the muddy parking field) has caused a nightmare. Better luck next year
