I've been mooching around the forum for a few months.. A lot in the virus thread which can be rather brutal and I'm weaning off that. But for a site which is based around friendly interactions and intimacy I'm astonished at the number of really aggressive and nasty posts on here. Even those dressed up as "bants".... Maybe it's time I stepped away from these pages for a bit... But I though t I'd find a lot more empathy and kind spirited comments here. Often there's stuff you'd never dream of saying to someone's face.

I'm sorry you feel this way OP. Sadly as previously said, that's the internet for you. Personally over the years I've found ways to shape my own experience on here to be mostly positive. I hope you manage to do so too.

So true OP and we'll said! Some ppl are keen to put others down for a temporary boost to their ego without considering the larger picture. I'm not saying be nice, but why be negative and nasty about the other REAL people on this site? Like we'd behave this way face to face then would we....?

There are some keyboard warriors for sure! I try to take everything with a large pinch of salt, the good and the bad.

I don't think I'm any different here to real life tho. I'm opinionated, gobby and unapologetic about it. But I'm also kind and will go out of my way to try and make someone smile

Just love everyone as if they're your bestest!. Humans are amazing but at the same time, they're the worlds nemesis.

Nobody truly knows another person's pain unless they're living in their mind. Amazing creatures are humans, also the most evil there is.

Show love and compassion and you can't go wrong.

We're in this world together, so lets make the most of our short time, for us as well as others xx

Yeah 100% step away from the virus forum if you're looking for pleasant! Even the lounge is pretty brutal and I'd say that's the friendliest of the rooms. Just focus on the people/comments you like and try not let the others bother you.

I like to keep it at arms length, remembering that it is escapism from a shitty situation for a lot of people, so moods will range from one day to the next.

Unless they are out to get you (then report it) best to take it all with a pinch of salt and take a break when you need to
