I probably need to cry more because I find it really cathartic, but I have a bit of a block when it comes to crying.

I tend to only cry when I’m furiously angry or when I’m watching certain films. When I’m sad or hurting and really NEED to cry I often find I just can’t and end up bottling it up until I explode. I think I spend too much time trying to keep my emotions in check and in control.

I’m working on that though because I know it’s not particularly healthy. If in doubt I watch Lord of the Rings since it always gets me sobbing!!

This really upsets me. Why, unless you’re a danger to them, a parent thinks stopping kids from seeing the estranged parent can ever be justified is beyond me.

So often a new partner comes along or the kids are stopped from seeing the ex because of feelings between you. It’s just wrong. Think of the kids rather than themselves.

I had tears in my eyes when recounting to my daughter the dreadful and heartbreaking story of Rob Burrow the ex rugby league professional who carried his son onto the pitch just before a testimonial arranged for him. He is suffering from motor neurones disease and can hardly talk. I have seen the guy many times on the telly but I just felt sorry for his wife and three kids who will losing their Dad prematurely.

My beautiful daughter did what she always does when I'm feeling the pain of other people. She hugged and kissed me just demonstrating what an absolute beautiful diamond she is. Needless to say she is wonderful human being, wife and mother.
