Do you have a mental image of what other forumites look like?

I mean the ones you haven't met or seen a face pic of.

I admit I imagine what some posters look like and I have been totally wrong when I've seen a face pic. Funny how the mind works

I had that at one of the meets at chameleons once

One of the regular forum posters was talking to me and she asked my user anme so i told her and she said

Oh my god is that you and then went onto telling me how i look nothing like she expected and said she was expecting a big fat women but i looked lovely

Yes certainly I do, its like reading a book isn't it, you do get a mental image of what someone looks like.

As for the personality being different in person than on the forum, well to a degree that's to be expected. People usually say ' hi how are you, its great to meet you' and you can't go far wrong with that. People don't usually say 'well let's have your views on whether the second B in BBW is warranted or not. If a forum group sat in a circle debating something, you'd be able to see their personalities more clearly. That would be really interesting wouldn't it.

I've had a few people surprised at my voice. They seem to be expecting a birmingham accent. Neither myself or my OH originated from birmingham so we don't have that regional accent
