Unboxing

I didn’t realise this was a thing until today, after being subjected to toy unboxing videos on YouTube by one of our little darlings.

With the demise of the Argos catalogue it appears in our household at least, that this is the new way of compiling a Christmas list.

If you had to make an unboxing video of anything at all, what’s it going to be and why?

Mine would be of my recently purchased overlocker simply for the comedic value of me trying to thread the damn thing.

I watch them when I’m considering buying a new gadget, they’re really good as they often show you how to set them up and any little niggles you may have.

I think it started when that company famous for making white things, spent millions designing a white box to put the white things into.

Staying on the white theme a video of you being unboxed (ok stripping) out of a white dress, white corset, white suspenders white, stockings ... you get the idea no need to explain

unboxing me might be a little to niche interest for YouTube

Now I am partial to things in little white boxes but do they warrant a video?

I find the excitement is in opening a present, if I send people unboxing videos do I get out of buying them an actual present?

I’d probably make a few unboxing video game collectibles, as I’m a bit of a nerd and tend to buy the collectors editions of the games I’m buying.

Or 3D printing, as I’m shortly starting some custom Apple Watch cases, so it would benefit getting opinions on my prototype ideas.

Well we do love the nerd vibe, would that be retro game collectibles?

The 3D printing sounds different, I occasionally walk in to find Mr watching wood turning videos

New trainers. Such a complex but exciting task of peeling back the sheet paper, the rolled up fillers and moisture sachets... Oooft! And what about the laces!

Don’t forget the smell of new trainers, there’s a lot of money in trading trainers. Some cost more than my car.

A bit like Russian dolls?

I hate those things, they’re so full of themselves.

Would I need to clean the ingrained Petit Filous and Pom Bears from the upholstery?

"my Patek"

As in Patek Philippe? Do you fancy swapping that for my decade old, seven seat Renault? It has air con and optional ‘toddler snack remnant package’.

that would be hilarious. Even better would be to get someone who had no idea what was in the package to do the video and see if they can figure out what to do with it.
