The forums and a couple of friends have historically brought me back and kept me here.

It can be a fickle place, with what seems dire one day, appearing Fab the next! There's been a big turnaround of members I think, so dynamics change constantly.

I always used to say that without the forums Fab would be nothing to me and I'd leave - nowadays Fab as a whole is meaning less and less to me anyway so the forums not being here wouldn't have much significance either way.

That said without the forums I'd not have made the majority of the friendships and connections I have, and I probably would have given up on the idea of meeting a long time ago, so I'll be forever in their debt for that

To be honest, I think my time on Fab is coming to an end (or at least an extended break)...and it's mainly the forums that are making me feel that way. They've been an occupier of time through lockdown, and I'm glad I've met some of the people that I've met through them...but, meh! I'm not really interested in meeting anyone new, even if covid were not here...I'll spend some time focusing on the good stuff that I've got going on in my life

I pop in and out of them now and they are not holding much sway with me.

If it wasn’t for the forum I would have left a long time ago as no one local was catching my eye was really catching my eye or imagination. The forum provided me with opportunities to make connections I wouldn’t have normally made, as none of them are local to me. Our paths would never have crossed and those that are special to me would have remained unknown and I can’t imagine them not in my life now.

An extended break is due soon, I may be back in one form or another, but time will tell.
