"I'm no expert but I can and do cook.

hi lorna , whats on the menu?"

I go through phases.

At the moment its everyday things like.

Shepherds pie, pasta bake, Paella, homemade kebabs ect...

But i do like to try something new at least twice a month.

I always make all my own sauces too.

Now the weather is getting colder i will do more pies, soups and stews.

Iv been mixing a bit of wholegrain or wild rice in with the white rice. That's really nice and adds a bit of colour.

I can cook but my family aren't very adventurous with food, so it's just good home cooked food like roast dinners, shepherds pie, steak and homemade chips etc. I make myself things like stir fry quite a lot as I'm eating healthy.

Also make desserts like rhubarb crumble, sticky toffee pudding, and I make a good carrot cake.

Batch cooking is cool. Get the slow cooker out and cook up a storm. Yummy dinner for that day, then freeze the rest. Home cooked ready meals, without all the crap in it from shop bought. Less mess to clear up too. Winner !!
