set in the Northwest a lone gunman is shooting dead convicted peadophiles whilst running a media campaigne to have the law changed .the moral questions are as a police officer would you want to catch this person as they are murdering people no matter what there criminal convictions which is against the law you are sworn to uphold and as a member of the public would you asssist the police in aprehending the murderer and prevent further murders ?

He's a criminal, if I was law I'd still have to arrest him and rightly so. I wouldn't assist the police incase I got murdered lol

Hypothetically, I’d want the person caught.

How certain is he that the person he’s shooting is a convicted peado’? Given the justice systems previous for unsafe convictions also, how does the shooter know for certain that the ‘peado’ is actually guilty. There are to many unknowns to allow a person to indulge in vigilante behaviour.

I would also assist. I couldn’t live with myself if an innocent person was killed and I had knowledge that could have prevented it.

Absolutely he should be caught. We have to trust in the judicial system, otherwise what’s left? A world full of vigilantes? Taking the law into their own hands and punishing those that may not be guilty of the crimes they are accused of?

Where does it stop? Paedophiles, rapists, murderers, abusers?

The job of a police officer is to uphold the law, with fairness, integrity, diligence and perhaps most importantly- impartiality.
