As I kid we used to go to the fair when it came to Hereford

It’s one of the biggest fairs in England

The May Fair

This isn’t the point of my post, my question to any of you is :-

What was your favourite fair ground ride?

Elterskelter?

Waltzers

Mexican Hat?

Bumper cars?

Big wheel?

Ghost train?

I think it depends on the age.

Got to be the waltzers. Loved how they spin you and if you had a lady with you they would spin more..

Dodgems was always a favourite.

Did enjoy that giant elastic thing where you sit in a ball and get bungeed to the moon at a feria in Spain until we got off and saw it was held together with chewing gum and balanced on some breeze blocks.

yeah right

Ive actually been told to stop spinning the car way too many times.

I do get asked if they want to spin us, We just say no.

Whilst they look at us funny.

We spin it so bad that your front ribs starts to hurt a little whilst your pinned to the back seat.

Then we get told to stop

The waltzers have always been my fave!

I forced J to go on them with me a couple of years back...poor bastard looked like he was gonna chunder after less than 30 seconds of spinning. He didn't...but every single bit of colour drained from his face for a good hour

from Home Counties to Middle Earth

I've always been a fan of the Waltzers. I have a technique for making them spin faster. I took my kids last year and was told I had to sit upright and in the middle, or we'd be asked to leave the ride (Health & safety)
