I mean who else hates the word nice, us woman want to hear wow, I once explained to my husband when you say nice it's like if you ask me how was it and I go it was nice, now how does it feel, does anyone else get this or is just me.......

Think its a context thing.

But i do understand what you mean OP, it can be used as a throw away positive with no real meaning behind it

We were taught at school in English Lang. never to use 'nice' as it's a bit of a nothing word. It always make me think someone is being sarcastic.

But sometimes you can't always avoid using it.

It can be over used but if someone tells me I look nice I take it as a compliment. If we've just had mind blowing sex and my partner says "that was nice" it entirely depends on how he says it and his tone

If I've just had a good session, the last thing I wanna hear is it was nice

I wanna hear it was amazing, out of this world etc

But maybe thats just us wanting our egos rubbed ??

I guess sometimes I use it too much.. but I don't mean it in a lazy way. I kinda struggle sometimes with what to say and not either sound over the top.. which puts some people off.. or non plussed which also puts people off.

Nice is kind of the middle ground I guess.

Try swapping nice to wow see what a difference it makes wow is still a middle ground comment but especially to woman sounds so much nicer

I think its all relative personally.

I dislike the word 'hate' and feel it is a strong word that's gets used too frequently.

That and 'ugly' which I think should seldom if ever used.

But that's just me.
