Doesn't have to be exotic or expensive, or even what you have now, but what's the car you remember most fondly?

Mine was a mk.1 Granada 3 litre I bought over 20 years ago, because I'm a massive fan of The Sweeney

It was a great car and would pass anything on the road, except a bloody petrol station

I had one of those as my first car! Passed my test in it and everything, and agree it was like a go kart. Nippy, too, up to about 40mph

My first car was a dream! Bought it with my own money before I could even drive (at 15!). It was a 1969 Impala convertible painted blue-green with a shimmer that dazzled! Had original white leather interior.

We were a classic car family - my big sis drove a ‘72 fastback mustang and my father an old 40s Ford pickup. Was often in the garage tickling on the cars with my father and was the girl who took techy instead of home econ.

Funny thing is that in Britain I don’t drive. Nothing really gets my heart racing here!

When I lived in Australia I owned a lime green Ford Falcon XR8.

5.2 litre V8 pushing 460 horses through the back wheels. Flash tuned with cold air intake and straight through Hot Dog pipes it went and sounded like a NASCAR...

My favourite was my mini 1275, it was my first car. Unfortunately it got written off and the replacement mini wasn’t quite as much fun.

Mr has had a fair few cars but the only one he has ever said he regrets getting rid of was a 1989 fiat panda 750cc. It was finished in Rosso Corsa and was the closest he will get to a Ferrari.

We drive quite boring cars these days but do like the idea of a classic car for the fair weather. A Rover P6 or similar.

My first car was a mk3 cortina 2 litre GXL red with a black vinyl roof I loved it But it was sadly written off in a crash, I’ve had a lot of fords through the eighties and nineties but the one I most regret selling was a Sierra sapphire 4x4 cosworth i had it for 12 years and basically wore it out then sold it for next to nothing shortly before they rocketed in price.

I’m never good at picking favourites but my favourite individual car is my first. Mk2 Golf, 1.6 driver. It cost an absolute fortune to insure, but my god what a car. Handled like a go kart and went like shit off a shiny shovel (well, to 19 year old me anyway). I had some fun in that car. I remember I was sitting in it one day, looking super cool, or so I believed.

It was the middle of summer, so I had the window down and my arm on the sill, when something brushed my elbow, and a split second later there was a bang. Some dozy twat had just driven past too close, and ripped the mirror off his brand new Bentley Continental. Like right off, it was dangling by the wire. Mine had a teeny little scratch in the plastic.

I grew up in Rhodesia my dad had a 1961 impala, it was a lovely barge of a thing,I took the AA badge off it when we left and have it on my MGB now

I'm quite fortunate, in I've had lots of fabulous cars...

the BMW M5 was glorious... not a pretty car, but the exhaust overrun you get from the V10 if you flipped the gears and throttle correctly almost made the 14mpg bearable...

Or the BMW 645, with every individual option. When you take your three year old son out in it for the first time, give him the full V8 experience and when you get back on the drive he asks "Why didn't you get a mini?"...

A Honda S2000... full on rear drive hooligan and one of the best cars ever to come from the land of the rising sun...

But my all time favourite car, the one I want back, is a Caterham 7. In full race prep it's a close to driving a racing car on the road as you can get. Cost bugger all to run, and doesn't depreciate. The most fun you can have with your clothes on, and even beats a few I've been with with their cloths off!

Engine blew up on the M4 and I had my first experience of waiting for the AA to rescue me. All alone. Pouring with rain. Flat broke. Wobbly bottom lip.

Done a couple of 'Supercar experiences', Ariel Atom & Lamborghini Gallardo.

When I was 17 the Ford Sierra RS Cosworth was THE car to have, my neighbours boyfriend had one and took me for a spin in it, then let me drive it back home, I still remember how nervous/excited I was getting in the drivers seat, It was just as easy to drive as my old mans Fiesta 1.1 pop+ only difference being when I thought I was doing 45 I was actually doing 90! I'd only passed my driving test 8 days previous.

Favourite car i've owned is a toss up between a VW Golf GTI 8v & a Mk3 Ford Escort 1.3 that I bought off my mate for £30 after he crashed it, Insurance would have written it off If they'd known but I rebuilt it bumper to bumper and made it look better than OEM

18yo 3 door 1.3 Toyota Yaris, still going with 160k on the clock and all the quirks under the sun, including an intermittently blocked EGR valve. Just so reliable in spite of the quirks, and nippy too, she's just so much fun!

We just bought last week a 911 GTS, we toyed with the idea of a vintage one but for driving often they just aren’t practical we think. Maybe one day if we have a huge garage and too much spare cash

My dad had a number of vehicles over the years they could all play up but had a lovely character about them being british was one.. The toyota cressida a 90,s car probabily stole the show after that along with a volvo for performance levels.

I never did pass my test but some of the lessons I took were either in a datsun 120A or 120y I thought it was the latter one around 1977/8 It was a nifty little motor and smart but took the corners to fast I thought but I probabily would think that in those times.

I had the 460 turbo intercooler same engine the tablier almost same also , really lovely car to drive ,the all cars i had from Ford Escort cosworth to my now Audi TT the Volvo 460 was the car i most have looked after and more money i ever have invested

Oh for sure, this was only 12 years ago when I was 17, so many of them had years to Rot or get manhandled, looking back it probably would of ended badly LOL, but my dad growing up on 3 litre capris thought it wasn’t a bad idea

For novelty a Fiat 600 with a 1600 cc Twin Cam Lotus engine shoehorned in the back, this car was never road legal but great on the track.

Peugeot 206. I'm not a very girlie girl but in that car I felt feminine and flirty.

Sadly I'm convinced they were trying to kill me. I had three, wrote two off within 12 months and had the side bashed in on the third, when I went for #4 they'd stopped making them and I didn't like the replacement model.
