Baby I'm just like my mother

She's never satisfied. That's a lie, my mother's dead easy going and so am I, but Prince got me thinking.

What traits do you carry from your folks? Where they that the type that thinks cleanliness is next to godliness and now you can't leave a tea-ring on a worktop without losing your marbles? Where your folks laid back like mine, so much so that now your favourite phrase is "it's no big deal"?

Just another getting to know you thread. Brought to you by the letter V(for vagina) and the numbers 6 and 9

.

My mum has always been a people's person and loves fiercely. She always goes above and beyond to try and help others and will put others before herself. One day I hope I possess those traits but I have definitely inherited her love of hosting/feeding those you care about. And I can waffle on almost as much as she does.

I definitely got my stubbornness (some would say pig-headedness) and passion to stick up for what I believe in from my dad

You seem lovely _eli from what I read from you when you post, I think you're already well on your way to those traits. What a lovely mummy you have too

I hope I'm never like my mother. She's incredibly selfish and now a Grade A conspiracy theorist and frankly a bit unhinged.

My Dad is a womaniser, almost married as many times as Henry VIII. He's a nice guy really, but comes across wrong often.

Basically, I've spent my life trying not to be anything like my parents. My maternal Grandfather is my idol. Born into abject, Victorian style poverty, mother died when he was 2, raised by a single father. He left home/school and joined the army at 14, straight to post War Italy on peace keeping. He became a financial advisor through sheer hard work and tenacity. A truly self made man who I hold in the highest esteem. He's 89 soon.....

My mum passed away when I was 9 and so I didn't really know her too well if you get what I mean. BUT since I have grown up I hear she was quite the minx in her time and I feel that I have inherited the naughtiness from her...

I didn't know my biological father until I was an adult and had my own children. Other than looks I don't have his traits, none that we have identified as of yet as we have only known each other 10 years.

Her x
