"Yes sometimes. But when posting/messaging on here people are possibly only showing one aspect of their personality. I sometimes think when you have a username only it can end up being like a character you are playing - slightly removed from your actual self." Very true.. ![]()

"I like the girls who do .. I like the ones that don't I'm not impressed with the ones who say they do but then decide they won't... But the type of girl I like the best and I'm sure you'll say I'm right Are the girls who say they don't..but look as though they might ![]() Inspired by Max Miller? ![]()

"Yeah, I get it. There are physical types and personality types. The thing is that everyone is an individual and won't conform 100 % to a "type", in my opinion its more a general thing eg someone is aggressive or laid back, shy or outgoing. " Absolutely- I think that's what made me post this. There are loads of people we can think of who have common personality traits whether that is kindness, aggression, shy or whatever but just occasionally I'll talk to someone for a relatively short time and feel like I 'know' them much better than is possible. Obviously there is a limit to how well we know anyone, spouses and close family members can often turn out to not be who we thought they were so for the purposes of this thread I'm gong to take 'knowing someone' as being the level you'd have with a colleague of several years. Someone you may not socialise with but you know various family members by name, what they do for hobbies, general political outlook - that type of thing. I think this is what I don't like about this feeling as it comes with a certain set of prejudices like I already know which bits of them I like or don't. I know psychologists say we form an opinion of someone in seconds so maybe it's just being aware if that process occasionally?

" I don't think it's a problem if you are open to changing your opinion of them when you learn more about their personality as you get to know them. Eveyone is different and similar people will have different opinions and experiences.
