It matters to some but not to others but you can get browsers that auto check spelling if its a problem. Grammar can be more of an issue though as that's more an indicator of the person sending a message.

Spelling mistakes are one thing which I think most would be OK with as we all make them, even grammar nazi's make them but the one that's going to make me ignore a message is text speak.

If you're that lazy you can't type proper words, how lazy are you going to be when it counts.

You opening message looked fine to me OP

I try to have little or no spelling errors where possible (damn autocorrect ironically "corrects" it into incoherent strings on occasion)

Its not a deal breaker for me,others though are seriously fastidious about it.

Its the txt spk (text speak) coupled with little or no punctuation that drives me up the wall.

You need an enigma machine on occasion for it.

The right place

The odd spelling mistake is fine. It’s more the tone of the text that I look for.

I like wit and sarcastic warmth.

I am also dyslexic but spell checker and proof reading are my dear friends.

Yes personally I feel spelling and indeed grammar do matter a lot if you want to click with a person.

"Really....?"

When I say this, I just mean there isn't a single mistake on your profile, so it looks a little manufactured here. I really hope it's not and it's just me being cynical because that really wouldn't be nice at all....

Good luck with your search and this thread.....

La la land

Being dyslexic can be an issue here. There are plenty who will correct other posters mistakes. Unsure of their reasoning to be honest? If I've made a mistake I think it's more polite to tell them privately not in public.

Has it prevented me, no it hasn't.

Mr here. I'm dyslexic and sometimes it makes a tit of me. I know on here spelling and grammar mistakes can really but some off. But I'm intelligent and had quite an accomplished life. My words are still legible and readable despite errors. So if someone is so narrow minded to care more about the technicalities in my writing rather than the content of what I have to say then they are not for me and best avoided anyway. We all have or malfunctions in this world, every one of us, does not mean we don't have value and awesome things to offer.

It's just, when I green arrow you and read your replies on other threads there are no obvious mistakes. And if I try to type what you just did in your OP then my phone autocorrects it....

Dyslexia for me isn't an issue at all in a potential friend. A persons motives, intent and soul are most important to me. A nice pair of tits and the ability to make me giggle helps too obv....
