So we all know this goes on so I'm starting my own.

This is for those who feel they're being left out of threads and being ignored. For the reasons you know why!

Rules are... If you post 'I'm in' then whenever you see anyone on this thread post a comment or thread in the future you will make sure you make them feel part of the forums. You don't pass them in threads and will make sure you interact with them.

Make sense?

I'm In!

I never try and one side anything on here.

And try and always be inclusive. I also only post on threads I’m interested in.

If I miss people it’s accidentally.

If I post a thread I try to respond to everyone that posts. I also will pick up on people that have been overlooked on threads.

Some threads are fast moving and if multiple people post within 120 seconds of each other it is possible for people to miss things unless they go back through the posts.

Here occasionally, but mostly somewhere else

"There's a clique on here" is forum code for "I'm not getting enough attention" , in my opinion.

Regulars know regulars. Post a lot and you become regular. Post less and you're soon forgotten. That's true of all forums, everywhere on the Internet.

Post interesting stuff, and all will be well. Post occasional gibberish like me and you see phrases like "somebody viewed your profile last week".

I post a lot and I try and respond to most. I think it makes a thread a bit boring if I respond to everyone! I rarely look at who posts a thread before I comment. I don’t do cliques, I refuse to join any group chats that I keep getting invited to. I don’t like them they’re not my thing. I have friends but I don’t suck up to them, I’ll comment if I don’t agree, whether we’re friends or not. This clique thing has been going on for years. I wish people would tell me who’s in it as I don’t see it. I see friends having banter and a laugh with each other sometimes that’s all. The bitchiness seems to go on behind the scenes in my experience! Whether this is tongue in cheek I don’t know but this clique business really gets on my lils!!!

I haven't been on the forums long, only since lockdown, and I've found the large majority of people very welcoming. I can see how its easy to feel left out or ignored as I've been there, but I think the best way to counter this is keep getting involved which worked for me. I understand it not easy for eveyone, and people on here do have friends and connections which may seem like cliques. But I think as someone mentioned the fast pace of some of the threads makes it easy to miss replies etc and some people can have comments missed. I'm not for a second saying it doesn't happen.

I've had some genuine chats from getting to know people and not just flirting (although I'm getting a reputation lol). Some people don't answer but then you just respect their decision and move on. I'm not saying anyone is right or wrong but this is just the opinion of a newish memeber of the forums so hope this just shows a different perspective

I think the hardest threads on here are the Ooft you're hot/you'll get mail at 10pm/best bum, cock, etc. You are going to get overlooked on these as there are very subjective threads and there are some damned fine Forumites who always come out on top. Just the way it is xxx

I generally keep away from them as just have nothing to give/get anything from them.

Good threads to go to are the Good Morning or the Late Night ones. You nearly always get an answer and the Late night you can get some great conversations on

Happy posting

A forum is about discussions and having your say, regardless of who posted a thread. I dont even look to see if anyone is in a clique or whatever..Its an adult sex site not a child's playground..

I respond to something I find funny amusing or interesting regardless of who posted. If they wish to reply to me great if not i don't spit my Teddy out or say you've missed me out. If you don't like how the forums work dont join in simple..

I can honestly say I like everyone I have spoken to..

Wow! That was an interesting read and not something I expected from the OP (I've just caught up) agree with a comment further up though, there isn't cliques just friends having a laugh and a joke.

This changes the subject a bit, but the OP is away so can't chastise me ...but do you think its partly to do with the limitedness of the site that it seems like there's cliques? There's loads of times I'd love to give a post a wee thumbs up but don't want to dominate commenting on everything! I'd say my favourite posters, I've never interacted with at all so they wouldn't even know I enjoy reading their posts.

Well said. There can always be a part 2 etc.

To leave a positive spin on all this as I mentioned I feel almost everyone is inclusive and would just encourage new members to get stuck in. Everyone started somewhere and I don't think anyone deliberately ignores people. If someone doesn't get back to you, move on. This place isn't short of nice people. If someone seems to be struggling maybe give them a hand. Happy fabbing you lovely bunch

Cliques do exist in the forums and on the site in chat, etc. too.

The thing is that cliques are not always intentional and people often don't realise that they are part of one, why should you?

You tend to chat and respond to the people you know and get on with, sometimes even blindly back other clique members up without considering if they are right or wrong.

The same can be said in person, people tend to sit in pubs with their known associates and chat to them whilst paying little attention to others around them, similar to going to lunch with people you work with, etc.

Err, hang on, unless there is an intention to ignore, pick on or belittle others isn't the description of a clique similar to that of friends?

I bet this post get's no responses as I'm not in the clique or the anti-clique

I get what you are saying and agree for the most part. It's the 'clique' word I'm not a fan of. Friends do gravitate towards each other and I get that it can be hard for new posters. Some threads move so fast comments get lost. I try to be inclusive and friendly when I post, or start threads x

That's the point of my (ever so slightly sarcastic) post, it's human nature to be drawn to chatting with those you are familiar, friendly with or even attracted to.

It's not always an intentional sleight towards anyone new or not within the usual group that their posts get passed by, people just naturally respond to their group, basic human nature.

The more you get involved the more you will become familiar and likely to be responded to because of that familiarity.

You get out what you put in, is a bit cheesey but, is often true.

You get out what you put in, is a bit cheesey but, is often true."

"Cliques do exist in the forums and on the site in chat, etc.

You are always going to talk more to people you know than strangers.

I'm in and I really like this, a conscious effort to make it so as no one feels left out but what happened to the OP?

who was it even? I've just read the forum slump thread and I still cant work out who it was. This thread is a nice idea, people do get left out on threads wether intentionally or not and it's probably off putting for many. I'm still in

It was the Welsh backpacking chappie who was tenting around Europe. Last seen somewhere in Switzerland.

Awk, shame he's gone. He seemed like a decent bloke. Thank you too, I conked out early and never got to spend some time here last night which I had wanted to. I like reading back when i do get on again though, it's like a form of catch up TV

There's a few people guilty of just exactly this, on this discussion!!

I've been here, on and off for years.... Just because my profile says a matter of weeks, it's been many years since I joined- (I just did the decent thing and deleted my profile when I got into a "non scene" relationship.) I've seen the 'clique' for donkeys years! It discourages new folk from posting and one of the reasons we are losing a lot of decent regular people from the site too - its all-too acidic on the odd occasion. Had this Same discussion for literally years!!

Spare a thought for everyone, even just a smile sometimes can make the difference to someone's day, albeit in public or on a forum . Remember, you never know how somebody truly feels.....

It's almost like the Fab Illuminate sometimes!

Lots of love from a non-clique member!

Just a word of appreciation, Kat ... Your profile shows you're smart and attractive and genuine ... Quite a catch.

This message is written in the spirit of this thread and in the small hours of a sleepless night.

Agreed. I'm sorry to say I've seen it too and I feel like there are a few users who actively ignore my contributions to the threads, it just happens too often to be coincidence. Now I generally dont post on their threads because I feel they dont want me there and what would be the point if I'm getting skipped anyway. For the most part people are lovely on Fab and the forums are fun

I can’t join two cliques as it will cause far too much friction between the 2 groups

Oh, and the OP has gone UNLOS?

He did threaten that, but I hoped we'd talked him out of it

And does this mean that the new clique is now rudderless?
