That may be for yourself...or someone else

What keeps you focused?

What keeps you going?

Surely sometimes you must lag a little and loose momentum in completing a project?

If that happens, what gets you going again?

I don't do failure, so the deadline will always get me to do something, even if I delay till the last minute. I always get the job done.

Used to be the thought of retirement, nowadays don't really need to care

I'm a massive procrastinator, so everything is done right before a deadline

Who said there was a deadline?

Or is that what motivates you?

Everything has a deadline eventually - no work is utterly indefinite. I don't particularly enjoy the ongoing QA paper filling I have to do, but there are review dates at least 3 times a year, so that's a deadline.

on the move

Music, podcasts, imagination, the occasional naughty message and then thinking of all the things we're going to convert the money into.

At work I’m so busy that I have no choice to be motivated. But day to day I’m shocking I have no motivation

If at work, I'm the type of person who does more than the job requirement, usually do a job that 3 or 4 people would normally do in that time frame.

Home, depends what doing

Music usually! Louder the better!

Bit of system of a down or Biffy if I’m struggling.

I work from home alone (did before lockdown) so have days like that often. (I do go out and visit clients etc sometimes)

Of course the money helps too and if I’m honest I love happy clients

"

Exactly

The work that I need to do in my daily life that I'm not paid for can wait - for a time I feel motivated to do it.

Usually when I wake up full of energy or it's 8 minutes before the deadline

Wirral

To quote that great modern philosopher Lunchmoney Lewis "I got bills I gotta pay".

I just keep reminding myself of some of the utter shitshows I've worked on and that actually, my current job is pretty good by comparison. Gives me the kick up the arse to carry on.
