I love vinyl, but most of my collection has only been played once by me - just so it's transferred to digital to listen to (complete with crackle and noise), then it's stored out of the sleeve in specially built boxes so there's no ringwear

I only own 2 vinyl records and the both definitely look better than CD's as they are picture disks, Meatloaf - Bat out of hell & Alice Cooper - School's out for summer. The rest of my music is MP3.

I have a record player set up in the lounge and a few records but don’t use it as much as I’d like.

It’s awesome sound but it’s not just as convenient as connecting your ear phones to your phone and just picking what ever song you fancy out of thousands.

I love music and listen to it all the time. Vinyl is better and cooler but digital is just way more convenient.

There are some things I still like in retro.

Cameras where you must get the film developed, a lot of the digital stuff will just get lost in the masses of pics taken daily.

I love reminiscing over photos from years back, revisiting memories.

Vinyl yes- have a record player that is over 40 years old.

Have a load of 45's and 78's

im a bit meh on vinyl tbh, technology moves on, its a bit of a hipster thing IMO (Sorry!)

I think music can sound great digital or on vinyl.

That said, i love the beginning of Great expectations by The gaslight anthem when you hear the crackle.

Nothing wrong with other formats

I just love the crackling before the music start

All mine are mint or near mint

And they are played often

iPods are great on holiday

Xx

Thanks for your feedback

If I ever won the lottery, I’d have a record (vinyl) collection like Robs, in High Fidelity.

I do have a few vinyl records a proud owner of Back in Black by AC/DC, that’s just opposite where I’m sitting. But most of mine was from my teenage years I still yearn after some more as originally recorded though

I've got a huge collection of vinyl from one genre

Love it and every record tells a tale and memory's of when and where I got them

Vinyl just sounds louder, todays music is so devoid of atmosphere and over processed to the point it sound so flat.

I have 3000 records from my djing days when younger, a collection that has tanked several grand in value down the years too

I've got a loftful!

A mate used to replace old style juke box's from vinyl to the CD ones, gave me the records as he knew I collected them. So I have stacks of them from the mid 50's to late 90's!

You lucky son of a gun. Is it even worth asking about a price?

Missin’ Yo’ Kissin’

I prefer CD's as the sound is crisper & louder. Production better. In my personal opinion .......

I have collected records in the past. I was always disappointed at the varying production sounds. Some were tinier and others really loud. Some sounded like they were pressed into a Frisbee - just rubbish.

One saving grace regarding records were the fact you could collect pic discs. I have a small 45 puce pink Motorhead by Motorhead record. I doubt it's value is much as I played the shit out of it! I also have other pic discs who have been loved and played to death.

Vinyl all the way for me, through a good record player, with the right set up and speakers the sound is awesome.

My genre of music is all about collecting records and each one has a story about where you acquired it(bought, swapped, record dig etc)

KTF

Box loads of 90s dance 12" singles & still have the soundlab dlp3 direct drives & kam mixer stored away in a cupboard. So many memories of nights out, old friends, events & parties. Relive the memories now on youtube cos there's usually at least one version of each tune on there when I search for them. Good times.
