Insects?

I don't kill anything unless it's a mosquitoe or tick. Mosquitoes because they will bite you and they're annoying. Especially when you've been bitten 30 times in a day! I get bit loads mind. One or two I wouldn't mind. And ticks because they will also bite and they will make you very ill.

Other bugs, spiders, wasps, bees, ants, etc I'll just pick up and place outside. They're not around you just to bite you. They're just taking and interest. And at the end of the day I'm in their home so I'm the visitor.

I know everything has a purpose and most mosquitoes get away after biting me so the way I look at it is I've helped create more mosquitoes than I actually kill so it's all good right?

Yeah woodlice are horrible little things and earwigs saying that. I'm getting so one with nature that a slug was on my tent. I get many, and I knocked it off. Usually I do it from the side but once I did it and pushed it by the face and I felt so bad I apologised to it!!!

Moths if rhe buzz round my head and won't let me catch them die.

Flying stuff is just meh unless its bees and then they get fed sugar water and i find them somewhere to rest until they're happy enough to fly away.

I'll save most things, sometimes even wasps and do so with my hands or fingers.

Im lucky as I get dragon flies where I live and they're beautiful things to see.

"The only thing I kill is wasps "

The trick with wasps is never panic. Just look at it and firmly say FUCK OFF! Normally they will go but if they don't just blow them away. If they persistently fly around your head after this then by all means do what it takes.

It's surprising that fuck off works in any Country. Think it's the tone lol

Mosquitoes can die, the bitey little bastards.

Everything else gets released, with the exception of flies that won't go out the bloody window regardless of how much encouragement they get to bugger off and leave us alone.

I'm a killer usually by spraying whatever is nearest to hand. I do genuinely feel awful about it afterwards though! I just can't bring myself to get close enough to pick things up and put them out, but I must have built up some real bad karma through it !

I have such an aversion to slugs, that knowledge would stop me going to Prague!

A completely unreasonable and idiotic thing to say and I work on it constantly but no slugs. Ever.

I don’t kill insects except mosquitoes that buzzing around my ear middle of the night or landed on my skin to feed. If they already encased in spiders web and ready to become a dinner. Then I let them be :D

I jump and run away from cockroaches or anything bigger than 2cm length, have six legs and can fly. I have a proper phobia I love UK for that, never come across that kind of insects here yet.

I catch and release big spiders who are visiting my home, small ones welcome to stay during winter but their webs usually gets destroyed during daily cleaning so not the best place for them to settle in

Love bees and butterflies, if they accidentally stuck in home, I kindly guide them to flowers out in the garden. other flies gets a bit of a harsh guidance through a window but killing is not an option

Just remember most are not there to bite you. You can easily up spiders wasps etc. Without a bite. I know people have phobias but gave your fears one day. I think you'll be proud of yourself. Just stay calm. Watch some documentaries on them they're fascinating and you'll get an understanding of them more.

Wow you are a special one... I applauds you. I don't like killing mosquitoes but when you've been bitten about 30 times and got lumps all over you and all you're trying to do is put your bloody tent up!!... then yeah it can be a bit annoying bit like I said most get away and they say once a mosquito has bitten you it fertilises their eggs and they can have 100 babies. So I've created more than I've killed.

I like the way you think xx

Unless they're massive, then I get someone else to kill.

Fairplay... Like I said I don't want to kill anything but being in my situation I have to kill mosquitoes as I can't really close the window on a hot day. Trust me I get bitten so much. I tried insect repellent but don't seem to work. And ticks I must as I left UK without vaccination. I'm going through them now though and had my first one. Got to have another one next month.

Always catch and release apart from this year we have had quite a few of those nasty invasive false widow spiders, they get killed.

Everyday body inspections for bites and tocks. Funny, I ve been in a house now for 2 years but I still spend more time out than in. I buy wet wipes normally and have a wipe down with them and use a bottle of water with holes in mostly. I'm by a lake now (pics on profile) that's really nice to go in, really warm too. You wouldn't think I'm a homeless guy if you saw me. But I think my backpack gives it away though

I was homeless in a woodland for over 2 years..hard but loved it..my health and hygiene and turnout never dwindled...every morning got a fire going then in a recyled wok I would boil my washing from day before. Everyday body inspections for bites and tocks. Funny, I ve been in a house now for 2 years but I still spend more time out than in. My gf is my home..if she s not in the house then I prefer to stay outdoor the way I was. Its still a balancing act..crave and need my time outdoor...enjoy "

Yeah I much rather the outdoors. I had a job in Friedrichshafen last week where I had use of an apartment for a week. I could it sleep inside I had to sleep on the balcony. Just means yoire an oitdor person mate. Nothing wrong with it. Also it is harder work to keep yourself clean and tidy withiut the creature comforts but not impossibke. And its so much more fun. I wash clothes in lakes even when theres loads of people there.

Yeah I check myself every morning for ticks. Every nook and cranny lol

"...forgot to say, loved reading your profile, I love camping and clothes moths will be annihilated at all costs.

The rest I try to release.

This was in the middle of a forest mind so probably be ok in the city lol.

Thanks, there's not much better than camping out in my opinion. As long as you have the frame of mind for it. It's not for everyone I know. X

Those bloody things get everywhere, you should see the work I had to do on NOT hibernating when I found out the fuckers live in trees!

I have to have a tent to stand up in and a cushioned surface to sleep on but the rest is all good.

I can be squeaky clean using three inches of lukewarm water

I came to an idea. All the daily chores I had, finding firewood, scoff, laundry etc..because I was always busy my internal past issues couldn t harm me as much as my brain was occupied staying warm in the wet and cold days. It was thanks to this that I learned how to self manage my issues without any meds, which I never ever take..not even annadin!! I think it is a big help to mental health to live basically amongst nature..certainly I found ME.

"ants I'll stomp, earwigs get superstomped, woodlice get picked up in a tissue and put in the bin and bitey things get hairsprayed/splattered/vacuumed

Spiders and bees etc will go back outside

Yeah woodlice are horrible little things and earwigs saying that. I'm getting so one with nature that a slug was on my tent. I get many, and I knocked it off. Usually I do it from the side but once I did it and pushed it by the face and I felt so bad I apologised to it!!! "

This really made me giggle.

I try not to kill anything at all, although I had to vacuum up a spider the other day, it was unbelievably big (I suspect it was a tarantula) and my kids were terrified.

Essex.

"I kill false widow spiders, we get loads in our conservatory and they aren't native. They can deliver a good bite, luckily they stay down south and don,t travel further north must be the climate they,ll get in your loft space and hide away and breed the femail would,nt think twice about biteing then she as some decent fangs on her not sure if you,d have to go to hospital after."

I used to pick them up when I first found them on a camping holiday in Kent and then noticed them in our garden but since I found out about the damage they can do I usually squash on sight.

"Insects?

I scalded a moth with the shower head that was in the bath today. It had to go & I wasn't touching it alive.

Definitely not a fan of Mosquitoes as well, they seem to have been really bad this year. Just bought myself a Thermacell device so finally no more bites off the buggers

I never kill anything...ever. If I cut the grass and I've swept up I leave the final pile for the ants to escape before finishing the final tidy. I am not a fan of the mosquito though.
