But is it true?

"The maximum state pension in the uk is £141 weekly, germany is £507 Did we win the war...or not?? Doesn't feel like it. If a British old age pensioner contributes for 45 years to 60 years of age, they get a total yearly income of £6000.. illegal immergrants/refugees living in Britain get a total yearly income of £29,900."

What do you think? True or more false news?

It’s pretty much a mixture of both. Illegals immigrants wont get a penny from the state as well, theyre here illegally ie without any knowledge. Refugees are given accomodation etc whilst their asylum status is processed. As for the pensions thing, we have one of the worst pension schemes in Europe, we also have some of the longest hours, lowest rates of pay, fewest holidays etc, that isnt the fault of anyone but ourselves for voting for people who want to further strip those rights & not improve our working conditions.

Win the war?? what’s winning the war got to do with an incompetent government screwing over their pensioners while at the same time screwing their own citizens who pay their taxes with high tax rates, a government making a mockery of the education and health care system by not paying people who deserve it the most a fair wage, a government who are not taking homeless people off the street and into employment and housing while lining their political pockets with our tax money. It’s got nothing to do with a war! It’s about a bunch of bungling idiots elected to parliament to line their own pockets rather help the electorate that put them there!! ****And breathe****

There and to the left a bit

This one's been doing the rounds since at least 2016 and whilst the figures (for France and Spain anyway) may be accurate at a very basic level they don't actually bear comparison as they don't take into account any number of other factors such as healthcare benefits, winter heating allowances, differences in public/private pension schemes in each country etc - and the figure quoted for Germany has no basis in truth either.

So yep fake news that presents only part of the picture....but then why let facts get in the way of a good meme?

Think the pension is about right as been looking into it as less than 3 years to retirement the rest about immigrants is just hate mongering!

Facebook told me yesterday that I could claim £1000 in tax credits as a married woman. The web address was incorrect but I expect that was a typing error. These kindly souls must be very busy and mistakes will happen

I understand a war was fought against extreme right wing xenophobia

Good European humans did indeed win that skirmish

However not for long

I understand since a war UK humans have had total freedom run a system where they vote for a welfare system they want

Perhaps if the EU had told the UK it must look after its vulnerable our poorer pensioners may not be the lowest paid

But the people voted the government's we have had and I understand the general soundbite is

Suck it up buttercup

As for illegal immigrants to my knowledge they are paid zero by the government as they are erm hidden illegally ?

Immigrants don't! Our visas clearly state NO RECOURSE TO PUBLIC FUNDS, stamped in passport as well. Just getting a visa is a nightmare, and the expense is more than most can afford (We paid well over £17K over 5 years). Not all visas allow a spouse to work here. You also have to prove you have a certain amount of cash in the bank.

EU residents aren't immigrants--they are simply moving legally.

Your comment may have been meant as a joke, but there's a BIG difference between immigrants, EU citizens, and refugees.

If an illegal immigrant is getting money off the government they aren’t illegal, as the government recognised their status, as they would be placed in an asylum center and either added to the general population through processing or sent back to where they come from, like other posters have said they have no access to public funds as they are generally asylum seekers.

EU citizens are not illegal, they are economic migrants, people like my fellow Irish travel over here as part of a Common Travel Agreement to live and work in the U.K., other EU countries travel to the U.K. to work and study as part of EU agreements, you know when good old Blighty was part of the EU gang, now (apart from Ireland, thanks to CTA) EU migrants have to apply for the right to remain or are forced to leave. If EU countries are giving more to their citizens are OAP age, good on them, they look after their elderly, it’s a pity that the British government doesn’t do the same. It’s shameful how bad things are for the older generation.

Look at all the countries who "lost" the war and had military sanctions imposed. It's amazing what happens when you spend the majority if your military budget on other things

Yeah, it was a joke. Having direct experience of what immigrants are and are not entitled to I feel able to comment humorously on what is clearly a post designed to trigger certain responses.

Once read on Facebook that eating chicken nuggets turns you gay,

After a quick Google search I found this informative post was backed up by some bizarre study.

I think it may have been a typo though as I went straight to mcd to get a box of 20.

After the first have I turned grey but had no cravings for cock at all

I agree with what you say. If everyone wants to pay the lowest social charges and taxes then they can’t be paid realistic pensions. The same as if the majority want cheap food and clothes then they will be offered imported cheap rubbish that is produced by overseas slave labour and workers will be offered p/t minimum wage jobs that are subsidised by the benefit system. Our thinking on sustainability and quality of life has to change to enable a better life. I have lived in France and benefits and pensions are far higher than U.K. but people pay a lot more into the system in order for it to be provided.

Not all that many actually realize the difference. I didn't mean to take a jab at you, but at those who don't know. I've heard far too many people complain (TO ME!! an immigrant) about the fucking immigrants, and how awful they are to the country/economy, etc.

They obviously don't realize what it's like, being an immigrant, and how few benefits we are eligible for--or, for that matter, want to receive.
