Hello, I need advice, yes I’m a naive Nora - I received a Message from a well verified Female member Asking me to fulfil one of her fantasy’s - she asked if she could text it to me. So we started chatting on WhatsApp, she wanted to send me dirty texts and have her husband come over to mine and have sex - without her present (during lockdown!?) as a single woman this made me a little wary - I wanted to make sure she was legit so asked for a voice note. She told me she couldn’t do that so I was a bit scared and said no thanks. She then reported me and blocked me. She reported me and said I was a couple and admin changed my profile To a couple. Which I’ve asked to have changed back. I’m very much a single girl!!

I re-read the message so I could understand why she was so angry and she had said she had a speech impediment hence couldn’t voice note so I felt really bad, so I apologised (I hated the idea I’d offended someone with a speech impediment) and we started chatting again - I asked if there was another way she could prove she was real. She suggested sending a picture of her holding her ear, and I said no, could she sent her holding her chin (so I know I’ve asked for that) she then went crazy at me and sent me a barrage of messages about being a time waster etc. Then her husband messaged me on here as well. I’ve had to block them both. It was so aggressive. I’m sure plenty other girls they can chat to. Now I’ve got a flipping couples profile too. Argh!

My question is: was I right to question this? It seemed dodgy to me. Plus I wasn’t going to be meeting anyone during lockdown.

100% within your rights to verify, by what ever means you are comfortable with, that she was genuine.

You were right.

She probably wasn’t real. It was probably the ‘husband’. It’s easy to fake verifications. Even though she’s blocked you, you can still report her. And I’d counter block her as well.

You can contact admin by scrolling to the bottom of your home, and clicking the contact admin button

Lots of red flags there which you rightfully noted.

I have a speech impediment and so the voice note thing I get. However this person is an angry bird waiting for a pig. I wouldn't bother wasting anymore energy on it.

Either way they sound like the kind of hard work you can do without.

Always go with your gut feeling and never feel bullied into doing something you don't feel comfortable with.

You were definitely right to question this OP, it sounds as dodgy as a 5 day old kebab.

Regardless of whether or not they are genuine, the fact they were getting arsey in their messages would be enough for me to hit the block button.

I’m not sure, I think I was a little naive and I mentioned I had an FWB in my profile - which I’ve now removed. Im very much single.

She went so mad at me. It’s been horrible. It felt like it was all being put back on me - that I’d really offended her speech impediment , I’d never want to do that

It's not difficult to prove you're genuine if you're interested in someone. I'm thinking it was a male trying to trick you.

I'm always wary about verifications anyway. I could easily get 10 men to verify me without them meeting or seeing me. I've also seen several fake profiles with meet verifications.

And I would also say never give out your personal number because it can easily link to your social media profiles. Maybe something more anonymous to chat through like KIK.

If you post in the help section of the forum about your account admin might see and switch it back to single female for you.

1000% in the right safty is key and if you asked for something to ensure ur safty I don’t see a problem with it if legit a woman know the feeling I get it all the time off guys for asking for phone number before me

Most guys just expect me to sent my home address to them without give me anything in return

Im not one for veris, either my own or others. Some get them by just asking for a veri. So I cant do film footage?...fine. I may read them if theres a potential meet but I wont place much reliance on them as they re not going to display a bad one. I dont have any other social media and limit contact to on here only. Its such a sorty thing you ve gone through, but hundred per cent best you queried.

Don't worry, it happens and it is easy to be fooled sometimes. I think the best thing to do now is block them from your personal phone and account, report them for being abusive and then forget about them! You'll find many more people on here who will treat you with respect. X

I would contact admin directly from the contact button and ask them to review. They should have proof to have changed your account. People can be spiteful and report for any reason, especially if they are rejected. 'She' sounds like an arsehole whether she is genuine or not. If she was a genuine fem she would understand how risky single fems meeting are. Feel free to pm me.

Good start to advice about personal number but wouldn’t go kik best bet is pay and go SIM cards that way you can even have a phone chat with the person plus if number goes out to wrong person or a faker it’s a easy take SIM card out snap and new SIM card for swinging without loseing personal number what’s the worst you lose £10 off credit

That’s what I do have a spare pay and go SIM card same network as my personal phone and just swap the sim over for swinging or just by a cheap £40 phone from Argos or something

That way you only need to turn it on for swinging and arrange meets and such

If someone not will to hand they number over to me I am definitely not handing them my house address lol xx

I’ve also just realised - on the verifications she had loads of webcams and she commands people around and stuff Aparantly so I’m now not convinced there was ever a speech impediment....

Best way ive found use a spare phone with sim in. Don't use yr proper number. Always hav a spare 1 for fab or for any meets of internet. Then can chat & video call on skype/WhatsApp. Then you can check each other out. Don't show your face till they show there's. I do. Don't show mine till I see there face. Then you can hear them to and know its them. If they have a speech impediment you will b able to tell obviously how they chat or communicate.

100% right to protect yourself, especially as a single female. Go with your gut, verifications can easily be faked-even as a couple we have been tricked by this. You can block someone that’s blocked you by going to the main site and entering their username in the blocked list section.

Also contact fab admin to try resolve the issue with your profile, hopefully they’ll be able to help.

It seems to me that a woman would understand that you wanted to confirm everything was legit. Women understand concerns about safety and honesty. A woman would understand that "she" had not demonstrated the truth of what you were being told. A woman would not get angry with you for being cautious about letting a man into your bed.

I can't help thinking that people with a stutter can still talk. It sounds like bullying and aggression was an attempt to manipulate you into lowering your defenses.

If I were you, I'd report them.

Thank you - I’ve reported both of them and I’m trying to get my profile changed. If I’m honest the whole things shaken me up - it’s just one incident but they know what I look like. I’m so so naive!!! Lesson learnt. Thank you all for the support. X

You can ask whatever you like to verify, ensure safety during meets. You didn’t intentionally offend, how could you have known about that?

Get active on the block contact button on your number too.

Any abuse tell them to visit Lovehoney, by a toy... and they know what the can go do with it . Instincts are ingrained natural sense, always trust them.
