i too am back from a shopping spree.. i get more satisfaction buying things for my daughter though. last thing i bought for myself was the garden furniture and some plants for the garden.

I do feel better though after a good stomp around a town centre picking up various bits n pieces

It doesn't because some women have resisted being brainwashed by the capitalists into joining the consumerist herd.

After a particularly awful day on Monday I went shopping and had a few drinks last night with friends - both things cheered me up hugely!!!

Ooooh!

I love shopping. It's the sense of rewarding myself for my hard work that I enjoy. Nothing to do with being brainwashed by capiltalists! Anyway, it's good for the economy, therefore it's good for the country. And if you don't like capitalism, there are plenty of 3rd world countries where it's not the norm, feel free to leave whenever you like! lol

I have taken advice from my father and other older guys to heart.

Never, ever let your loved one share a bank account with you.

Well said, I totally agree - shopping is my way to treat myself (which when I'm working a 70 hour week and running my own business is fab!)

I have never understood the need to buy shoes.. I like buying cars and stuff though.. and like underwear.. but I buy it mostly because I need it..

Yes I do need 300 plus sets of underwear..

I absolutely love clothes and shoes and I can't help but buy when I see something gorgeous and that is usually every weekend.

I have been particularly bad recently as its my fcriends wedding so on that pretext I've bought quite a lot of things.

My last purchase was my dress which was a vintage style circle skirt dress but I've also bought an actual ballroom dance petticoat to go underneath it. Oh its gorgeous, its all frothy and swishy and I just want to twirl constantly in it.

Got my hat and my shoes so the next item will be a wrist corsage, and I want a big one
