In fairness it definitely wasn’t 100% accurate but the story behind it is true ! Ever see Micheal Collins ? Or the wind that shakes the barley ! There more true to life !

It’s a great film, with a heartbreakingly beautiful soundtrack (RIP James Horner).

Fun fact: Angus Macfadyen who played Robert the Bruce returned to play the same character in last year’s film called... Robert the Bruce!

I went to some of the sets here in Ireland ! Obviously a long time ago but there all in the film
