What noises annoy you?

Currently there is a neighbour somewhere cutting the grass with a petrol mower and they have left the ch*ke on. So instead of it being a steady noise, it’s splutters and revs. I don’t know why, it just gets to me, because they are not using it right. Turn the ch*ke off lol

Most of the time, not many noises annoy me

But right now, I've come off a night shift. So everything. My neighbours are in and out slamming doors, my daughter stirred her coffee and I swear it was extra loud clinking. And some knob keeps riding his motorbike up and down my road and revving the shit out of it

1) Open mouth chewing. Grrr!

2) Constant sniffling- use a damn tissue.

3) People who constantly play with or chew chewing gum like bullet 1

4) Guys (mostly) who drive through towns at low speed with radio up full and windows down to inform the town of the crap (usually) they are listening to.

Close up sounds, such as in adverts pouring milk on cornflakes.

Neighbour may have automatic ch*ke on mower: normally as mower hits denser grass load increases, increasing fuel demand and engine speeds up to cope. On less balanced models its more obvious under no load as blade spins up and then coasts down till engine almost stalls gets another blip of fuel.

Was definitely a manual. I recognise the sound a mile away and it was going on for about half an hour. Rev up rev down. Which is exactly what happens if you leave the ch*ke on.

Women screaming / men shouting in “exuberance” (d*unk). I worked for about 20 years overseas, where people would scream or shout because of quite traumatic things occurring and now when I hear it in the street late at night, for quite unnecessary reasons, it sets me on edge.

my neighbours. Like everything about them. Their voices, his night terrors, their children and grandchildren, the way everything about them is just so fucking LOUD. These are the same neighbours that complained about my dog barking from the moment I left the house to the moment I came home. She was often sound asleep when I came home and my neighbours the other side said she'd bark for about 20 mins and that was it.

The sound of the till roll being changed at work. That beeping goes right through me.

Put a hole in it or remove the squeaker. The hole will stop the air drawing through the reed as it’s got less resistance. Or just pull out the squeaker. Problem solved.
