I see enough of stonehenge using the A303 , doesnt matter when I go past there are always stone spotters out. I dont see the attraction myself but as the saying goes 'each to their own' .

Arse End of the Universe, Cumbria

There's a lovely stone circle just 4 or 5 miles from me, on private land (the farmer kindly allows folk to visit so long as it's not abused), I've spent summer solstice there a couple of times in the past....would love to have solstice at Stonehenge, but need Funky's time machine as I reckon too commercialised nowadays

I'd like to go one day to see it.but I can't see why the so called druids go.the only connection they have with stonehenge is one in there heads.each culture was thousands of years apart.

Used to go to Castlerigg stone circle in Cumbria every year, sometimes even saw the sun rise - albeit often through a haze of imbibed substances..

Local police were there in their version of force - three coppers sat in a van at the end of the lane!

Haven't done it for well over a decade now, doubt it would be the same but i really should see the sunrise on the longest day once again.
