I don’t, that's because I'm too lazy to go down the stairs from my bed to the roadside. I'm tempted to hook a washing line from my bedroom window to the tree he parks next to and get a winch pulley thing

I once made one out of dental floss to go between windows in student accommodation. Bloody brilliant.

After a similar threads, I'm dying to have one of these oysters I've never had before.

So will probably go next time I'm somewhere they have one parked up, not the ones that drive round.

I occasionally do.

Back in the town where I grew up the local ice cream man is still trading 40 years on and has barely aged!

Our van was a godsend this summer, especially for older people. The guy is so nice and starting coming round practically hourly and always had bread, milk, loo rolls etc. Plus I love an Oyster

Currently without after my local ice cream man was found dead in what is part of a turf war.

Found covered in hundreds of thousands to throw the police off the trail and make them think he topped himself

My local ice-cream van appears at 10.15 in the morning. Slightly too early for a 99!

Does anyone use other names for the ice-cream van/man?

We used to call it the cappy mannie, points for knowing which part of the uk that comes from

You mean the paraffin van right?

When we heard the tune in our house, mum would say “no paraffin today” and we were none the wiser
