Yes I survived the dam clearing work in the river yesterday. Wow it was amazing as stretches of the river hadn t been accessed for decades. Im a sympathetic woodsman, so only cut enough to allow access so yesterday I was cutting paths beneath old rhododendrons, creating adventurous tunnels for the youngsters to enjoy. Oh boy the place was buzzing with every kind of mayfly, damsel and dragon flies...all different colours zipping about. Need to edit my pics. On opposite river bank the wind was howling through some big old beech trees..only few in this area as all the rest of the trees were used in the tin mines. These trees towered in multiple trunks, great for climbing, as they d been long ago coppiced. The call of the buzzards and the sound of the river made for a beautiful day.

But that was yesterday, Im now chilling in my kimono having decided to have my first weekend off in months. What about you folks? Whats the plan?

Morning!

That sounds like a most excellent day spent in nature

Where was that?

I am sorely lacking nature spots in England...

My plans for today is to stay indoors. One more week of isolation left, since I returned from a lovely Sweden trip last weekend

Private wood I manage in Cornwall, its partly why I barely take time off work, because I love it there. I manage it as quietly as I can. How was Sweden?

Sounds great OP. You're lucky to have a job you really love. You deserve your day off!

Masked and Distant

Sounds like a great day, I was swinging from ropes in a harness yesterday, luckily inside out of the weather.

Chilling and perving this morning for me.
