Amen to that..its like if I watch more than one film, whatever the weather or time of day, I get restless.

All my working life I was an early starter, now 10 years on from retirement I still get up at 6am every morning, and that includes weekends.

..

Always early to rise I think it’s the best time of day. I’m usually up around 5 and I have always been that way

I'm 66 years old and I'm always up by 6am at the latest. I've been an early riser since my days as a paperboy!

As soon as I retired I stopped going to bed and getting up early and started doing what I'd been dreaming about for some time. I can't get out of the habit that was ingrained from youth of feeling that I should be doing something productive though. If I spend the day just reading, sewing or just generally mooching about I think I should do something "useful" the following day. Daft really

Same here Taff, hate sitting around; walking or riding between work or DIY.

I like the idea of a lie in more than the actual lie in

Never been a natural early riser, even though some jobs I've had were 6 am starts. Now I'm retired, I just get up when I wake up, that depends on what time I go to bed though. Drink enough tea to sink a Battleship, and I'm good to go
