Found this on Instagram and it resonates at the moment,

Trust.

People are like flowers, they look pretty and smell nice from afar but up close they aren't always what they seem. They are soft and fragile, they die if they don't get what they need to survive.

Trust is like a flower, you have to be careful with it. It's earnt they say. You hand it over , maybe straight away, maybe over time but it's soft and fragile.

It can be broken in an instant.

Trust is easily broken but not always possible to repair.

Handed over time after time, hoping this one will stick, this one will be okay, a true one.

The true ones are so few and far between.

So hard to find that eventually it's easier to stop looking, stop hoping.

It hurts less.

No don’t stop looking. Have some faith in the few that know you. The rest are irrelevant.

Oh I’m so sorry to hear this. My bestie died of it years ago and it was so tough. On the other hand, those last few months we had together are etched into my heart forever and still make me smile. . Sending hugs...

Under the Duvet

If people are like flowers then remember those perennials that come up year after year, no matter what the weather and life throws at them be it frost, snow, floods or drought.

Some flowers may look delicate but they can be scorched to the earth by forest fires and still grow and flourish again.

Hang on to your hope x
