Inspired by the name of a forumite which happens to be the same as one of the main characters in one of my favourite Stephen King movies, Misery.

Which of his movies do you think is your favourite, the movie that you can watch time after time and never get bored of watching?

My personal favourite has to be 'The Green Mile'

Closest adaptation? Christine.

The one I have a soft spot for? Carrie. First novel of his when I was 13/14 and the first adaptation I saw. Or that might be Firestarter.

Favourite? It, the mini series and the films. It is my favourite novel and I love all the adaptations too.

The Dark Tower should have made a really good series, it didn't make one decent movie, mostly cos it really bore little resemblance to the books

As not really into horror have only watched a few stephen king movies (though i know not all his movies are horror)

I think the Dark Tower would make maybe one of the best series of all time, but they’d have to stay as true to the books as possible. Oy

Maximum Overdrive, Carrie and The Stand were good.

The Shining (film) really does give me the creeps even now and IT (the original) haunted me for days after I first watched it.

Definitely, a bit different from his other work (that I’ve read anyway) but very engaging

My favourite is Stand By Me. I prefer the films that stay true to the books they are based on. Loved the Running Man as a story but the film was only very loosely based on it, as was Lawnmower Man, which was a shame as they were both pretty rubbish.

I've read they are planning to make The Talisman, a book King co-wrote with Peter Straub. If they stay faithful to the book then this will be epic

I must dig out my dvd of The Stand sometime. Never got around to watching it, but loved the book.
